My Aunt, who in the 50's was considered a Communist, the 60's turned her around and today she's a staunch Conservative, she used to mock the leftist elitists who came to our neighborhood in NY to get the po folks vote, then go home to their mansions and wouldn't think of associating with the likes of us (see the John Kerry eating a Philly Cheesesteak pic) well she used to say that anything that came out of their mouths only applied to us and not them, she would mock them by saying "I was talking about your kids not mine" when they'd spout off their usual crap.

I don't begrudge kpete her wealth at all BUT STOP BEING A HYPOCRITE! move out of the mansion and move to the neighborhoods of the people you supposedly want to help.

CalPeg has shown her home several times. She will take a picture of some artst-fartsy setting such as a sunset with her house in the background. She has no desire to show the sunset. it's a ploy to show off her money.

In another pic, She and her husband were posing in front of their house. Most of the replies were about her house and how nice it was. That was her intentions. She could care less about her husband. There was an incident where he had a stroke or heart attack. Before calling EMS or taking him to the ER, she gets on DU and starts a thread about how her husband is on the verge of death and that she won't be posting on DU for several hours.

Wow.  Just wow.  I mean, I did fairly well when living behind the Orange Curtain pre-2006, and despite the Oconomy, Scoobie and I are making ends meet without a horrible amount of pain, even though every trip to the grocery store becomes more expensive than the last, each fill of the oil tank costs that much more, etc.

But seven-figure homes?  I never lived in Poway, but I did live in Point Loma (having been stationed there) and can say them's some nice digs out in Poway.
