I read an article about her relationship with Gabby Giffords (they are close friends).   She is a breast cancer survivor (double mastectomy, seven surgeries in one year).   She has three kids, was youngest state rep or senator, then became congressman.   Impressive background, although I have to say she did leave her kids at home with husband while she worked in D.C. Monday-Thursday.  She saw them on weekends.  I know it sounds horribly sexist, but that just doesn't sit right with me for some reason.

That all said, she is smart as a whip and probably the best DNC chair they have had in that regard in a long time.   She is vile though when she is wrong, and she spins the nonsense with the best of them.    I am intrigued by her.   Curious what her end game is.

Oh my word, this from the comment section made me howl:

She spent all day at her hair appointment at Pet Smart and didn't have time to prepare for Wallace's line of questioning.

I have to wonder about this quote from you.---------Impressive background, although I have to say she did leave her kids at home with husband while she worked in D.C. Monday-Thursday.  She saw them on weekends.  I know it sounds horribly sexist, but that just doesn't sit right with me for some reason.

Would you say this about female Doctors that leave their family's for months at a time to head out to help those they could in a 3'd  world country ????  These woman do not desert their family's for no reason, they stay in touch and show the family's that there are some things that are important to do for others, many others.

Have you forgotten our Mothers that are overseas in the military, what is the difference in them leaving to help our country them fathers that leave for a 9 month cruise on an aircraft Carrier????

I am not defending this woman for her beliefs, I am defending any woman that gets the call to duty-----she was fortunate to be with her children on weekends.

The call to duty comes to many in different ways, some to leave family, man or woman to become missionary's for a year or so.

Some man or woman have to head out with the military for months on end to do their part for America.

This woman went to DC to become part of the democratic part of America.    Will 20 years from now her children be proud of her for doing so or bitch because she was gone 5 days a week and not in the kitchen mopping the floors????

As most Military brats I missed my parent, but today I stand so proud that they were a small part of why I and my family are FREE.   Had they have been gone to DC into politics or gone over seas, a Mom or Dad, what they were doing for America is more important then anything I can think of.       The pride in a parent, the Country they protected or fought for, something to look up to, and try to emulate in our own lives.

Something we have lost in America today, all kids be it a parent is there on the scene or not need to know the parent loves them enough to leave for a short time to insure their freedom-----Be in a desk job in DC or a ground pounder in far away places.

Best lesson for kids is that their parents or parent must leave to insure they are free and safe.   Much better then having a parent go off on on business trips to make money to keep up a life style.

Little Johnny in class room show and tell, MY Mom is a sharpshooter in the Army.

Little Andy, my Mom works for K Mart.

Little Mary, my Mom is a secretary to General Offtentimer in the Pentagon.

See what we get here all kids proud of their Mothers, those that can stay home and those that have to leave.

I don't equate the military at all to this as deployments, while a part of the job, are done in rotation.    Her job required her to be several states away Monday through Thursday while her children were babies.    As a mother it strikes me as odd.

I never said anything about kids being proud of their parents so you lost me there Vesta.

Oh I have seen her quickly process information and readjust her attack on several occasions.   She is not anyone I would discount in this party at all.  She has saucers for eyes with regards for her future.  Haven't figured out what that is yet, but she is someone I am watching.

Meh.  I heard her (Queen Jeanne) yammer on a while back about how global warming was causing all the CA wildfires a couple of years ago.  Never confuse class with ass.

BTW--I hear her picture is still above the Domino's Pizza in Madbury?  Have they been able to stay open with the loss of their number one customer?

Just back from voting. Light turnout but I have a great polling place.  My guess, Mean Jean could take Carol Che in a steel cage match up. I am not sure who would prevail in the bikini jello wrestling contest, certainly not the viewers.  Ditto if they were to  tag team against the Hags from across the Piss-kit-aqua.  Then there is Chilly Peregrine, or is that a Falcon Jet her Bf flies her around on? :rotf:  Yeah, women in politics sure have improved things.  ( :whistling: misogynist )

I hear ya.  I was in and out of the polling place in about 3 minutes, including finding parking space.

Queen Jeanne versus Carol Che Porter?  (shudder)

Oh, and on behalf of the state where 1-2-3 was Rino Mitt, Ron the Nutbag, and John the Obot, I apologize.  Let the record reflect I did NOT vote for any of the above.

What does it say when Obie only got 82% of the vote in what was essentially a one horse race?

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle
