I'm not gonna nadin it, but I believe the Socialists LOST that war. That's why you cry, right?
They wanted to outlaw all belief in God. When they fled Spain for France, Socialist forces over-nighted at a border monastery. And as a parting shot tortured the priests and nuns to death.

Socialists and commies all hate people of faith. Why? Because Faith interferes with worship of the state.

Actually, the socialists (in the form of Hitler's ideological ally, Franco) did win. Spain did stay neutral during WWII.

I'd be somewhat careful equating Franco with Hitler. The circumstances of Germany and Spain was significantly different, the biggest factor in the Spanish case was the vicious attack by the leftists on the Catholic Church (Catholicism and monarchies being their greatest objects of hate) - by comparison Hitler was pretty openly anti-Catholic (being a leftist himself).
