Now starts the worst week of the year for me...

Every news program has the same thing: End of the Year RECAP.

I hate this for several reasons.
1) there is news going on right now that they are not reporting!
2) I've never heard anyone say, "Gee. I wish I could see the highlights of the years news as filtered by a commie liberal propaganda outlet."
3) We already KNOW what happened this year. If I didn't watch the news this year, I certainly will NOT watch your silly recap!
4) The 24 hour newsies feel the need to repeat the highlights round the clock for 7 friggen days.
5) Network character assassinations of conservatives get repeated ad naseum.
If I was a dictator, I would start a war with an American ally, and America wouldn't even know it for a week at least!
6) its an excuse for the newsies to NOT do their job for a week.

I don't care what happened in sports over the last year.
I don't care what happened with celebrities, or Hollywood over the last year.
I don't care to see the feel-good, fluffy marshmallow, heart warming stories of the past year.
The presidential campaign is a grueling 2 year ordeal...I don't care to see it all rehashed.

I DON'T CARE!!! Do your farking jobs!

My mental health has been so vastly improved since I stopped watching television news shows.  It used to piss me off no end to look at Obama's nasty smirking face and I find I don't miss it, or the media slobber fest over him, at all.  As for hard news, internet's better for that and unlike the 24-hour news outlets they don't beat one subject to death.

I more or less agree, end of the year recaps suck. I know what happened and honestly I don't care about most of it.

I do watch one program on French CBC but unlike most it's hilarious, making fun of anything and everything.

But really why do I need to be reminded how much the year has sucked?
