Sparky, for some reason Carter reminds me of Obama, the president that kneels or genuflects before our enemy, Little knowledge in leading and protecting their Country from the enemy. Little knowledge that a leader must have and demand respect from their own country first and then on to stand firm, strong and demand respect from our enemy's.
Screw the problems of others, take care of our country first, then help out others as we can. Protect our age old friends, who in turn help us out when the need comes.
This charging in to help others when they have the money stashed in banks world wide but will not turn a dime over to help themselves is nuts, do we really believe these country's will become greatfull or think of us as Chumps.
China demands a 20+% charge to trade with them, we allow them to import to us at no charge. WTF is this.
I do not believe in closed borders and isolation but what if it were tried for a year or so??? Stock market would tank to the bottom, but then slowly rebuild itself when the restrictions were lifted. We would have a country of billions of dollars worth of goods that are of no use to us, but the rest of the world would beg us to send and pay top dollar. No export fee for us but charge them for importing.
America needs a Viper in charge, one that cares little for the rest of the world, America comes first. Some country needs our military to help, make them pay for it. Some country has a natural disaster, make the leaders come up with the money to match ours before we help out.
No more of these nice guys that lead, take the food out of the mouths of our citizen to feed a starving country that can feed the people themselves. NK people eat grass, leaders spend thousands to feed their dogs. Not our problem, I have yet to get a care package from any other contry to help me out.
