Anybody aware of any authentic conservatives in the Democrat party?

I can think of a few Democrats are are less liberal than the primitives, but I can't think of a one who I'd describe as a "conservative."

The only two I can think of, the Demonrats kicked them out.  Zell Miller and Lieberman.  They were as close to conservative as any Dem.

Joe Lieberman is a Mirror Mirror, parallel universe copy of Ron Paul.  Solid on national defense and foreign policy but liberal on domestic issues.  He might be nice, but I don't think he's a conservative.

Everything that party supposedly does for "people" has an end game; and it all has to do with getting votes in order to have more power and money to control "people."  Liberals put money ahead of people.

Maybe Joe Manchin and to a somewhat lesser degree, Heath Shuler.  They rid their own party of most of the Blue Dogs who could at least entertain conservative options.  Come 2012 they'll be wishing they had a few of those back.

They're socialist traitors like every other democrat.

They just have to survive in districts with more decent people than most democrat congressmen.

Gotta agree with you, but I see the positive potential in converts.  Some of the converts are our greatest allies, i.e. Andrew Breitbart, David Horowitz, Robin from Berkeley.  Hope springs eternal.
