Is this the same Egyptian army who the protesters thought were their friends?

Month or two ago everyone was hugging and kissing on the soldiers because they were "Protecting them from the mean police.", but now I see on CNN that these sweet soldiers are beating on the protesters with clubs that look to be four feet long. Even women.

What is going on over there?

Wasn't the army really the protesters friends after all?

Armies don't like mobs hanging out and chanting in the street, preventing the productive members of society from working, any more than police do.  Duh.

And as 'Arab Spring' moves into 'Islamist Summer' , the primitives will realize they backed the wrong horse...Again... Soon they will be begging Skins to not only close DU2, but to pull the embarrassment off of the web permanently.

I noticed a statement that the police were beating on the populace [ even the woman]

In that part of the world females are just incubators to produce Male children, So why is it that these people beating up woman feel that they are doing nothing wrong then beating their donkey????  This is their culture should we interfear?

Really to embrace diversity one must be sensitive to the cultures of others, except and respect.  Who are we to criticize others cultures ,they are as valid as our own culture.

Do we interfear with the Ethiopians that practice female circumcision at home or insist the child have this done at a hospital???    Culture, must respect others culture.

Off topic, but when westerners try to understand the acts of the eastern people with 8,000 years of history behind them, try to understand their acts by the thinking of others that have moved on for 10+ thousands of years, there will be a problem.

0bama has been of great assistance to bring back the North African caliphate.  At least Jimma Carter only turned over one country to the islamists.
