Ah nice, just moved my account to the classic format
for DU 3... ad the ugly, almost, goes away. It is quite clunky the new skin... at least to me.

So for those of you having issues with that one, in my account you can set it to classic view.

Just a friendly reminder for when the lights go out.

When I was in high school there was group of mean kids just like that.

I suspect the Jury system, which in theory might work, will be the downfall of the site. That is a whole different kettle of fish.

I always came to DU to relax and have a good time.

The DUmp has always been so warm and welcoming.

10. In theory it should, but with the cliques running around
and the virtual war at GD... don't think so. It feels weird. As in HIGH SCHOOL weird.

Me, I care little, so if it gets locked or not, or what have you. But for many folks it just feels cold and impersonal.

But reality is ... it will fail, because of the cliques. I suspect people will self ban themselves than to have to deal with that.

Me, I could care less, but that is a problem

24 per day average. If one were to imagine 5 minutes per post, that's around 3 hours every day. And that doesn't include the periods following the multiple GBCWs when the posts were at Old Elm Tree and other sites.

Three hours per day on just one site is a way of life, or an addiction (which could be called a way of life, but hey, I never claimed to be medically trained).

This OP was a gloating post, over here at DU2, knowing that some will not go to DU3 because of the new fee system which some cannot afford. So it is posted here rather than in the forum for 'all things DU3' at DU3.

It's now $42 for a year, for a star.

But if one's poor, and pays in installments, it's $60.

I still dunno what the primitives are bitching about; one can ignore the advertisements.

And hence not pay even a wooden nickel for it.

It's those little perks that drive the 99% of the DUmmies crazy.  They want what the 1%ers are getting for their contributions, but they want it for free.

What I haven't seen is when the cheap $5 stars expire.

That's when the DUmmies will go berserk.

DUmpmonkeys who've had full benefits for years, suddenly assaulted by the blinking, flashing, animated ads of the new, improved, Pay-to-Play DUmp.

DUmmies who have believed themselves to be part of the DUmp elite, suddenly chucked out into the blinking, flashing cold.

And as soon as they start to bitch and moan, one of Skimmer's execution squads will come calling.

Every execution squad member will be one of the true elite, those who had at least $42 net worth prior to paying up.

They'll be ruthless with the deadbeats who dare to complain.
