The man (if you can call him that) cheats on his wife, she later dies of cancer and he moves the 'other woman' into the house he shared with his now deceased wife and DU sees nothing ethically wrong with this... sadly it is surprising that this is not surprising.

Truth be told I'm ambivalent despite the fact I'm mocking the DUmbasses for so quickly switching gears.

The fact is, they have a child. That child is the most innocent person in this drama. That child deserves an intact family and hopefully a family of affection. I doubt Edwards is the man for the job as he seems like a mewling coward which makes the other virtues impossible to attain. But hope springs eternal that he'll sack-up and eventually provide a proper home.

You are quite correct, of course, but the cynical part of me also sees this as his route to eventually avail himself of spousal immunity in any trial that might require her testimony against him concerning payments to her.

One can hope... but the he has a history of letting people down that put their hope and trust in him.

And you are right. The child is the unwitting victim in all of this and deserves a good and loving family.

Between the two of them, they look like they would argue who is the prettiest and fight over the makup and cosmetics.

I feel for that kid.  Nobody deserves to grow up in that kind of environment.  I hope those two assholes turn out to be better parents than I think they are.
