A DUzy of a thread

The DUzy Awards

The DUzies return this Friday!

Hello everybody, this is DUer krispos42!

I'm happy to announce that I convinced the Admins that the DUzies were going to be a vital necessity for DU for the upcoming election season. And with the launch of DU3, I even bribed them into setting up a DUzies-only account so that, no matter who does the awards in the future, the DUzies will remain in a central repository of humor forever!

I don't know why the Admins wanted a shaven llama, and quite frankly I don't want to know. At least I was able to use some of the connections I made during my time in Minnesota.

You would think central Minnesota would be a bit too flat for llamas... and you'd be wrong.

Anyway, naturally the DUzies need NOMINATIONS the way John Boehner needs kleenex.

SO, if you see a post that makes you LOL, DU-mail it to The DUzy Awards!

Copy-and-paste the post in you'd like to nominate into a DU-mail. Don't forget to include the author, post #, and text, PLUS the address of the thread it's in, so I can find the darn thing.

It should look like this random post from the Humor Group.

None. They just blame the Democrats for having blown the bulb.

:rotf: Holy crap. Is that what they call "humor over there? The POS primitive is a real card, but he better not quit his day job wahtever the hell other hobbies he has. He won't make it in standup. Though, I would like to see who wins these awards, and what material they presented that get them the blue ribbon.  :-)

To be fair, Dems HAVE been known to blow a bulb or two.

As a group, liberals have NO sense of humor.

Lame
"Liberalism is an essentially feminine, submissive world view. Perhaps a better adjective than feminine is infantile. It is the world view of men who do not have the moral toughness, the spiritual strength to stand up and do single combat with life, who cannot adjust to the reality that the world is not a huge, pink-and-blue, padded nursery in which the lions lie down with the lambs and everyone lives happily ever after."

How many liberals does it take to turn off a lightbulb?

18,000.

400 Dims in Congress to outlaw the bulb.
5,000 in the EPA to close the coal mines.
5,000 more to close down the power plants.
7,599 in the media claiming it's the Republicans fault.
1 (Obama) claiming "It's All Bush's Faulttm.
Murphy's 3rd Law:  "You can't make anything 'idiot DUmmie proof'.  The world will just create a better idiot DUmmie."

Liberals are like Slinkys.  Basically useless, but they do bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs...

Global warming supporters believe that a few hundred million tons of CO2 has more control over our climate than a million mile in diameter, unshielded thermo-nuclear fusion reactor at the middle of the solar system.

Yay, more painfully bad liberal "humor".

These awards are terrible.  No wonder they stopped writing them.

Oh Lord, DUmp "humor."  I was reminded of the fellow over there, who mainly hung out in the Loner's group.  A sad bunch.  He ventured into the Lounge one Saturday morning, and was so entertained that he left it, saying his sides were splitting, and it was just too much fun.   :mental:

A majority in the House, the Senate and one DUmbass in the Whitehouse.
“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

All their best humor is entirely unintentional, and any attempt to reward it for its comedic value would violate several rules over there, starting with 'Calling out another DUer.'

My mole got nominated for DUzies from time-to-time. I did what I could to bring humor to the humorless ****s.
