Can you spot a liar? Huh? Can you?

Liar, liar, pants on fire!

Me? Why do you ask?

You Can Definitely Spot a Liar

Maybe you have good instincts. Or maybe you just have a lot of experience with liars.
Either way, it's pretty hard for someone to pull a fast one on you. You're like a human lie detector.

You Sometimes Know When Someone's Lying

You can spot a liar if the liar slips up, but you're not always aware of other people's dishonesty.
Eventually a liar will reveal himself, and you usually will figure out if you've been lied to.
However, someone could be duping you without you knowing it. So watch out for the telltale signs of lying!

I almost always have to catch the person in the lie. I'm too damn trusting.  :thatsright:

I should know better.   :banghead:

I think most of the tells would be more likely in an occasional liar rather than a habitual liar.

Though it would be fun to have this list of tells handy for comparison the next time Barry Teh ReichsMessiah is bullshitting his way through a SOTU speech.  Make an interesting variation to the SOTU drinking game: spot a tell, take a drink.

I got this one also.

Part of it comes from playing poker, part of it comes from dealing with my ex-wife.

When you spend years around family, coworkers or Spouse, people change.

Spotting a Lie in this group becomes difficult as you become use to the small changes that take place with a persons personality.

I had a blast after reading a book on body language.   Took a camera placed it on a table and filmed a company party one year.   Replaying the film with the book in hand we saw things we never saw before.   We watched as the high ups in the company met others and could tell who was liked or dismissed.

Great information for us who may have had a problem with a supervisor and needed to know who to go to that was not a friend of the Supervisors we had problems with.

Great science here, sort of like the Anamils that read each others faces and body stance to tell a friend from a foe.

Police are experts in most cases on body language, true at times they can can make mistakes but they do have a high hit on being lied to.   This is a fun science anyone can learn with little cost.     We know that mothers can tell when the kids lie to them, instinct and subconscious ringing alarm bells.    To ignore the instinct is to do at their own well being.

Want or need a hobby that costs little, scan the internet and invest $20.00 in books on Body Language,  head out and watch others, talk to others and watch their body language that will give you insights into the minds of others.

Watch the Politicians on TV. may surprise you to see they are saying things that they do not really believe in.
