DUmmy Straight Story Shifts Broken Elbow Campaign Into High Gear
« on: November 29, 2011, 10:40:07 AM »
It's hard to imagine having a life so empty that winning the obscure Broken Elbow would be a highlight.

Clearly, though, that's the case with DUmmy The Straight Story.

The whining skydiver is making a strong push for a runaway victory as the loudest DUmpmonkey bellyacher:

Had about all I can handle.
I have been off work since late Sept. on short term disability (which I pay for). Got my initial claim approved and got paid for a few weeks.

Was expecting weekly paychecks. Nope. Had to go back to Dr. for more paperwork. I went, and sent it in.

Prior to this I went for over a week when the claim should have been approved but the insurance company said they only got a partial fax from my Dr the first time. They faxed it all 4 more times. Then I got my own records and faxed them from 2 places. Then it had to go to a dr to review.

(And in researching the company have found that others have heard the same thing...sorry, we never got the faxes, even when the Dr. Office has confirmation that the fax went through).

So now they have my paper work and today told me it could be 10-14 more days before someone looks at it - even though nothing has changed, my dr. has me written off, they want to review all of my medical records again.

All the while I sit here with no paycheck, the one they did give me was short and all went to bills. No gas. My Dr. saw me and said she would just bill me later for the copay (she is awesome, and pissed at the disability company) and gave me some free samples until I can get my prescription filled.

Blah, blah, blah....whine, whine, whine...

Can't go back to work until release and was going to see a specialist but they cannot see me until later next month, and the lady at disability was pissy with me about it "Why haven't you seen so and so yet?" well cause I can't get in, can't afford it, and she is on north side of town and don't have the gas to get there until you jackholes pay me.

---Not taking this laying down, researching and going to call them and get medieval on their asses. My x relies on my support payments (she is disabled and on fixed income) to make it month to month.

I pay into the insurance to have pay continuation (at 2/3 normal pay rate). Last time I was off (earlier this year) I went through this hell and said screw it and got my Dr. to let me go back to work, and didn't get paid until much later (went 6 weeks without pay).

...blah, blah, blah, endless complaining, whining, and bitching...

3. Sorry for your trouble, SS. But, you've been in work, yet you've no savings
set aside for such rainy days? How come (I'd seriously like to know, in general, how come)?

Skydiving.

5. Don't make a lot, and what I had went to helping the X with her problems while she fought with ssi
And before this job I was out of work a year, kind of eats away at things.

How about some more whining?

11. A legitimate question. Some years back it would have been 'because I was an idiot'
Since about 2006 I have been in and out of work. Temp jobs programming and such, contract lasts 6 months, then nothing for 6 more months.

You spend the next 6 months catching up on bills, rinse, repeat. Was doing ok, then off work 6 weeks and no pay - then get a pay that is 2/3 normal pay and you are paying up your bills (car insurance, child support, rent, etc).

I have helped out my nephew a lot (long story) and my X while she and her husband were trying to get disability (they finally got it, but she did not have enough hours for SSDI - she got SSI but that ended when he got SSDI, and they are living on very little a month and depend on me).
In other words, skydiving. And weed.
If the Omaha Weeper wants any chance at all for a Broken Elbow, he'd better show up soon with some paralysis, or at least an operation to fuse all his neck vertebrae.

I thought he was in pretty good shape with all his disability bullshit and his scams against the taxpayers of Omaha, but Straight Story has a clear lead now, in my mind.

It does the Weeper no good at all to brag about his widescreen when he's in a whining sweepstakes.

First reaction of a DUmpmonkey - call the government:

He hasn't worked steady since 2004.  Maybe before that.  It's called being a bum.

Let's see, he's got money to drink, smoke weed, can populate the planet, stays on Facebook all day and night, whine at the DUmp. What disability does he have ?  Lazy ass ?

And isn't Liberty Mutual moonbat insurance ?  I thought they LOVED their commercials. Suckers.

For someone claiming to be SO smart, you'd think he'd be at a job longer than 6 months and have money.  Nope, one excuse after another.  Year after year with this one.

The "I gotta help the ex" is getting old.  If my wife left me for a neighbor, I sure as hell wouldn't help her. He even house sits for her ?  Yeah right. I want my ex sleeping in my house, going through my things while I'm gone.

Straight Story, you're pathetic. I'm waiting for your Christmas cry a thon. Get that paypal ready monkeys.   :loser:

At some point you just say you are done. And I am at that point.

I spent several hours with my X today. She has 11 prescriptions, some of which she cannot get covered with her state insurance (which runs out at end of month). She is going to the hospital tomorrow, I asked her to promise me she would ask them to admit her and try to find out what is all wrong with her. She is coughing up blood, has two brain cysts, parkinson's disease (though it may be MS), and can hardly talk right now.

She has been to urgent care and the hospital several times in the last few weeks. When my daughter is over I just tell her mommy is getting a checkup. And I hope she has not heard the conversations I have had with dad about it all. One Dr. thinks she may have brain cancer. She is worried our little girl will just remember as someone who is sick all the time.

I am done. Simply done with all this debate over health care and such.

She can't get her cough syrup with codeine because the state won't pay for it (I have given her my own codeine, which I only take when I am in really bad pain a few times a year - I guess by law I am a criminal for giving someone else my scrips).

I have an 8 year old daughter who wants her mommy to be ok - and I, and her new husband, cannot make that happen. All because we don't have enough money.

What am I supposed to tell my little girl? That her mom is sick and cannot get the care she needs because she does not have enough cash???

Should I tell her daddy is not able to help her because I was laid off? How do I explain to her that I worked my ass off for years for various companies but they laid me off because money for investors was more important than anything else? How do I tell her that doing your best means nothing really, and that the only thing that matters is how much cash you have?

I am done. I voted for change, and I want it. Change when it comes to wars (have two sons heading out to those wars soon), change when it comes to how we treat corporations, change when it comes to the homeless, etc.

My own issues are but are a small thing really, I know that. From gay folks wanting DADT repealed to folks fighting for single payer, from our homeless friends wanting something to change to help them to others like me unemployed with personal issues that are eating away at them - where is our help, our bailout?

I want to work. I want my X to have the health care she needs. I would work two or three jobs, if I could find them. I want my daughter to grow up knowing others are concerned about her well being and her health. Seems like the right was all concerned when the X was pregnant but the minute we had a child she was on her own - if I don't 'work' enough and she suffers, well that is her fault - if her mom cannot afford to get the care she needs, that is her mom's fault.

Done. Simply done with it all. All of the politics, keeping powder dry, making compromises, and so on.

You want my vote? Then do what I put you in office to do. If you are not going to that, then screw you.

21. Folks on DU have helped me before, would never ask for such again - just kills me
Someday I will be able to help others. I do what I can now by paying it forward. I have given money to many over the last few years when I had it.

I was employed, but was on family leave act and did not get some paychecks (ran out of vacation days, thought I had more than I did, nd had issues with corp credit card where the company told me many things relating to my trip were covered then later told me they were not). DU'ers stepped in and helped me out. I still get ripped for it on some sites where some folks have nothing better to do than rip on us.

I only wish for two things right now - one is to get my X a gift certificate for skydiving and to help her find her real mom, and I am working on all of that and I might be able to do it all between now and April.

28. No. I appreciate you asking, but just don't.

I have been ripped for years by others on other sites because folks here helped me out one time. I don't want to go through such again. Ever.

I'll make do, I have my unemployment checks. I already feel bad enough because of the help I got here once, and I won't go through all of that again.

I really respect your kindness and desire to help, more than you can know. If you can help folks near you please do so. I will make sure, come hell or high water, I can help my X out with things.

He should ask proud2BlibKansanuglyas sin for some help.

SS has a PhD in "How to Milk Suckers"....but he needs to take some refresher courses.

But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

Excuse me, but why not give the ex the money he was going to use for the skydiving?  Of all the stupid ideas - give the gift of skydiving to someone who's so sick she's coughing up blood.

Was it lessons or a tandem jump?  Either way it's money better spent on the child or healthcare.

BTW TSS, how's that hope & change working for ya?

I heard UPS is hiring. My brother is a commercial realtor and times are tough.  So far, he's been a substitute teacher and is now working UPS through the holidays. He says it's go, go, go all the time, but he's looking at it as getting paid to work out.  No way in hell he's sitting around on message boards whining about not having a job.  He's got a family to support and a son heading off for college in the fall.

Get out there and bust ass Straight Story. You'll feel better about yourself.

You know, that's what I always considered manual labor; being paid to work out.

Myself being a college graduate--in fact, two times--and nearly all of my friends in Omaha and Lincoln white-collar professionals, they always sort of looked down upon my preference for manual labor.  Of course, they're only superficially aware of the difficulties of the deaf in getting a "good" job, but that's neither here-nor-there, another issue for another time.

Anyway, so I've always looked at it has being paid to keep in shape, doing manual labor.

And it shows.

I'll bet if the straight story primitive had spent some years wielding a shovel or pushing some freight, he wouldn't be the middle-aged thinning-haired pudgy greasy guy that he is.

It's a good attitude to have.  I don't love manual labor, but I'd do it in a heartbeat if I lost my job and nothing else was available.

Thanks for the walk down memory lane, Shadeaux.  Good times.  Ex coughing up blood, has two brain cysts and Parkinson's?  Why not take her for an exciting skydiving adventure??  Paid for of course, by fellow DUmmies.  And the shameless begging.  Not long after that, he was seen begging for gas money at the DUmp.  I thought for sure he would make Top Dummy, but he flamed out fast, and was reduced to copy/pasting other people's articles.  Disappointed.

Keep in mind working at UPS is not an option for DUmmies as it requires a drug test prior to being hired.
