Nadin's Final Frontier
« on: November 27, 2011, 07:16:37 PM »
Simple question. First poll, so I figured I'm make it a countdown to Nadin's inevitable (IMO) TS. The DUmp has gotten sick of her before, but she came back after a ffew days of pouting. I just like to ponder what her final "Blaze of Glory" will be before one of The Big 3 boot her ass for good. It should be momentous.

So, what do you think?

I leave it up to you to edit the days the poll is open Frank. I just wished to give everyone ample time to vote.

Many, many DOTY winners have not survived to see the following election.

The two most recent winners, Greenbriar and Proud2B are an exception. Greenbriar took a self imposed sabbatical then came back under a new moniker but rarely posted. I do believe the she would have be entombed if she didn't change her posting habits. As to P2B, she became a C&P queen. It's hard to get put behind the 8 ball when you never have an original thought. All she does is post links to articles and leaves no comment (many during school hours).
Come to think of it, unions do create jobs. Companies have to hire two workers to do the work of one.

I said "unsure," because one never knows what devious thoughts exist in Nadin's World, or what nefarious (and hilarious) schemes exist in her half-vast supply of knowledge (and Google-fu).

I voted after the top DUmmie nominations.

IF she wins, may her demise be as glorious as it would brief.

nadin's a fantasy gamer--Dungeons and Dragons and that sort of thing--remember, and probably actually she's been trying to "play" "games" with us.

They may all get sick of her (Well, most of them), but she really doesn't do much that is bannable, despite the extremely, ahhh, 'flexible' way that $kammer and his mods apply the rules on DU.  Instead of getting into out-and-out slap fights, she generally resorts to adding yet another member to the no-doubt-hundreds already on her 'Iggy' list.

That's the problem with a potential flame-out.

Her participation on other DUmmies' threads is lower than ever, and other DUmmies' participation on her threads is also low...I suspect her demise may come with a whimper rather than a bang. She may well end up tiring from posting threads about drivel which nobody reads or replies to, and once the raison d'etre goes as O.W.S. fizzles out that may be the end of it. Alternatively she might be like the mad aunt who sits in the corner mumbling insane nonsense to herself, and keep posting threads in G.D. about which nobody cares.

Don't forget, the eminent collapse of the Euro, just around the bend on the world stage, may allow her to expand her resume' to include international FOREX expert and financial expert. Could be a couple of weeks worth of DUmmie Hanranguement that I'm sure Nadin is a-googling as we speak.

There are also Nadin's competitors that try to slip in their own advisements to the run of the mill unterprimitiven. Nadin must be vigilant lest they get one past the goalie without Nadin being able to bless their attempt will confirmation of their schpiel (thread Hijack) or to correct them if it is deemed that they strayed too far from Nadin's perception of the matter (thread hijack).

I can see the path from here, read the script and follow the trends. Just like it's happened since before Human history began and is written about in several obscure books that Nadin has been able to google-ize and copy to her list of "Obscure books nobody has heard about and make me look really smarterest".

2012 because I play the odds. However, nada might just be the first DOTY awarded posthumously, so to speak.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

DOTY maybe, but I'm sure we've had posthumous 'Top Tenners' before.  Didn't TiT make the cut the year he was pizza'd?

Well, on that note, was Andy on the list the year Andyscam came to its ultimate end?

Guess it depends on how much canned milk it got from the nuclear submarine captain.

As much as I'd love to see her stay, the track record of past winners doesn't bode well for her.

She may have already reached her final frontier.  As of this morning she's nowhere to be seen on their Greatest page or even the first page of their GD section.  What will happen to the DU OWSie coverage if she's ill?  What will happen to the ones of DUmmies who rely on her expertise to get through their daily lies?   Eleventys!!
