"Occupy My Bed" has gotten old.

It's been almost two weeks since I had surgery to repair a separated tendon in my foot, and repair the cartilage and a chipped bone in my ankle. Snowboarding and/or beach volleyball injury. I go in for my first followup next week, and at that point I should be able to at least get out of bed and hobble around on crutches for another month before starting PT.

Don't take your health for granted, DUers! Fortunately, i'm pretty healthy for a 50+ yo guy, not on any meds, keep my weight down, but i've never had any major surgery or been bed-ridden for any length of time. This sucks! Ironically, it appears that keeping active and staying in pretty good shape is what did me in...as my doctor said, "You're 52 years old! What the he'll are you doing snowboarding!?" Well, believe me, it's better than sitting in a BarcaLounger getting old and soft watching Price is Right all day! Hopefully I'll be healed enough to take part in some of the Occupy marches before the 2012 political season traps me in the office again! Maybe I'll see you there.

From Occupy My Bed, this has been Atman reporting.

If this isn't a lie, it could get Pedro a tombstone.

A DUmp democrat, laid up with tendon surgery, not claiming workers' comp?

Surely someone dropped a speech bubble on his foot due to Mission Control's negligence.

Nah, it's all a lie. Pedro's as bad at lying as he is at cartooning.

What, no bashing of the medical treatment he has received?  I mean that is a MUST for a good bouncy.  The snowboarding lie is what did him in.

You have to have a real job and an on-the-job, or occupational, injury to claim worker's comp.  SSDI is their fave milk-cow, but it requires a permanent disability, not just being temporarily incapacitated post-op.

Too bad he didn't have to go in to get the board pried outa his ass! Then again, he'd prolly like that and wouldn't seek medical attention!
I'm the guy your mother warned you about!
