The sounds of footsteps walking to school uphill both ways in the snow.

Barefoot!
"Timid men prefer the calm of despotism to the tempestuous sea of Liberty." - Thomas Jefferson

"All you have to do is look straight and see the road, and when you see it, don't sit looking at it - walk!" -Ayn Rand

"Those that trust God with their safety must yet use proper means for their safety, otherwise they tempt Him, and do not trust Him.  God will provide, but so must we also." - Matthew Henry, Commentary on 2 Chronicles 32, from Matthew Henry's Commentary on the Whole Bible

"These anti-gun fools are more dangerous to liberty than street criminals or foreign spies."--Theodore Haas, Dachau Survivor

If your a libtard they missed the sound of the gentle crack of your hand smacking their bare ass when they really needed discipline.
"Liberalism is an essentially feminine, submissive world view. Perhaps a better adjective than feminine is infantile. It is the world view of men who do not have the moral toughness, the spiritual strength to stand up and do single combat with life, who cannot adjust to the reality that the world is not a huge, pink-and-blue, padded nursery in which the lions lie down with the lambs and everyone lives happily ever after."

~ Dr. William Pierce

"How many more times are we going to cower under tables and chairs, whimpering like mindless dogs, thinking that someone else has the responsibility to save and protect us?"

If your a libtard they missed the sound of the gentle crack of your hand smacking their bare ass when they really needed discipline.

The sound of a cigarette lighter ejecting in a car, ready to use.

The sound of family members washing dishes in the sink after a family meal.

The sound of kids in a school yard playing on forbidden today monkey bars and the spinners.

The sounds of private air craft with propellers flying overhead.

The sounds of the old time rope pulled motors on the back of small boats.  Add in the smell of oil and gas mixture .

Sound  and call of Loons on a clean lake at midnight.

Rain on a tin roof.

Sounds from grandpas chicken roost when a fox tries to sneak in.

On and on I and you can go, up to the the sounds of a traveling knife and scissor sharpener at the front door.

I wish a knife/scissor sharpener would come by our place.

You don't have one in town?  Every restaurant I worked in had someone else do their knife sharpening three or four times a year.  They also did the blades on the deli slicers and probably a few other big ones.
If you want to worship an orange pile of garbage with a reckless disregard for everything, get on down to Arbys & try our loaded curly fries.

I never heard of one, but then again the subject never came up.

I'll ask around.

We have a small military surplus store, (they also sell paint ball supplies), that sharpen knives and scissors.

I gotta travel 30 miles one-way to get to a sporting goods shop where you can drop off your knives and scissors on a Thursday (once per month). They're ready for pickup on Saturday.

The guy does a great job and the price is reasonable, but it's not terribly convenient.
