1. Totally bizarre that the Bush elder pedophile scandal had Nebraska roots...and that whole vast stinking Republicon pedophile mess of the 1990s may be linked to the current vast stinking Republicon pedophile mess in Happy Valley -- as is being discussed all over the net. And now, here comes Nebraska to Happy Valley (Note: the Huskers football team had nothing to do with the Bush White House doings, that was, I believe, linked to Boys Town in Omaha.
The Rot is massive. Here's the stink link:

2. Lil' Red Makes Angry Pre-Game Pubic Announcement
"The first one of you PA Palookas who makes a joke about 'Cornholers' is gonna get a Major Case of Corrugated Cob WhoopAss."
I thought it rather amusing that Nebraska fans at the game put the Nebraska flag in the hand of a statue of the disgraced football coach that stands somewhere on the Penn State campus.

3. I have been avoiding that impropriety, but..
I'm pleased that you seem to think it's funny.

5. Heh! It is kind of ironic that the Nebraska is playing Penn State this weekend . . . .

7. Little Known Facts about Nebraska-Penn State Rivalry
...They first played each other in 1920...This game (2011) will showcase two of the Big Ten's best running backs in Nebraska's Rex Burkhead and Penn State's Silas Redd.

8. Kick 'em both out of the Big Ten.
We never wanted them anyway.

9. Prayer Vigil
After the angry riot that followed Joe Pa's firing, the students at Penn State have apparently been having a somber moment of reflection. Thousands of them held a prayer vigil by candlelight for the kids victimized by the whole ugly story.
So I think the mood in Happy Valley today -- Game Day -- is going to be unavoidably intense, but basically respectful. I hope both teams will give a show of athletic excellence, playing with nobility and skill. That way maybe the athletes can bring some light into this spiritual and legal cesspool.

10. Now that was an entertaining game...
from the point of view of a Nebraska fan. Must have been tough on the Nittany Lion fans...but at least as far as football goes, they can hold their heads up high. They played well, even if they lost.
Final: 17-14 Nebraska.
A Hawkwing wig-wag salute to one and all...
Well, the anticipated violence never happened, but that was only because the eyes of the world were on Penn State "fans," to take note if they dared misbehave.
If anyone wonders about the credibility of this sorry-ass attitude of Penn State "fans," one need look only at one statistic. There were 106,000 Penn State fans at that game, and 4,000 Nebraska fans.
The last time there were only 4,000 Nebraska fans at an away game was probably sometime when Woodrow Wilson was president. Many times when Nebraska's played away from Lincoln, the "visitors" have outnumbered the "home crowd." Even at Notre Dame, about ten years ago.
The University of Nebraska alumni association didn't even bother buying tickets for this game, which is surely a "first."
No one wants to go to Penn State.
Probably a game played in inner-city Camden or Newark would attract far more than a mere 4,000 Nebraska fans.
