I dare say that every person on the Penn State Board of Trustees knew about this long ago and . . .
. . . . stayed silent.
It defies logic that none of them knew. If we were being really honest about this, Paterno and the other two losers would not be the end only focus of the outrage.
And that includes the governor of PA, who sits on that board.
Even as Paterno was jettisoned, the wagons are circling tighter and tighter in a desperate attempt at self preservation. If guilt were blood splatter, the Luminol would be all aglitter.
By the way, franksolich was remiss in something yesterday, Veterans' Day.
Every year, I thank the sparkling husband dude for his service--wholesomely and sincerely so--in the U.S. Navy serving in a boat off the coast of South Carolina 1965-1967.
I dunno if he was drafted, or if he volunteered; I do know however it was the wish of his mother of sacred memory that her son persist in a naval career rather than getting out as soon as he could, and getting a job with the d'Alessandro crime family of Baltimore. If the sparkling husband dude had listened to his mother, probably by now he'd be Fleet Commander.
Such is the unhappy fate of sons who don't listen to their mothers, all those missed opportunities.
In 1965-1967, when the sparkling husband dude was in the Navy, franksolich was a little lad way out in the heart, the middle, of America, carefreely roving the Sandhills of Nebraska, secure in the knowledge that someone somewhere was protecting his world, off the coast of South Carolina at least, from invasion and conquest by Sao Tome e Principans or Azoreans.
It wouldn't have been pretty, the Sandhills under the oppressive jack-boot of Sao Tome e Principe or the Azores.
And franksolich wishes to remind the sparkling husband dude that he has no doubt, no doubt at all, that while the sparkling husband dude was doing the only honorable thing in his life, he would've put his own life on the line to save and secure lilliputian franksolich from harm.
Anyway.

2. This cesspool is only beginning to be drained..
What's hidden in those putrid depths is going to sicken the heart of this nation.

4. Yes, it defies logic that none of them knew. But couldn't the truth be between the extremes?
I doubt that they all knew, or that they'd all known for years. Many of the members wouldn't even have been there in 1998 or in 2002.

5. I'm Disturbed That The Board Is Bringing On A CEO From Merck.....a fellow trustee and university alumnus of Penn State called Kenneth Frazier to act as chairman of a special committee tasked with investigating the sexual-abuse scandal centering on former football assistant coach Jerry Sandusky. Now if the rumors are true that Sandusky might have been pimping out boys to donors - this former alumnus - who probably is knocking down some big bucks from Merck - might be a donor himself.
I just don't think that Penn State should be investigating themselves. Seems to me it should be completely independent of the school.
Nothing like protecting their own.

6. You know
I was going to post about my personal connection to Kenneth Frazier, but I'm not going to because I'm afraid of putting that information into the rumor mill that churns out all of this bullshit.
Might I point out a few holes in the "Pimping to Pedophile Donors" theory?
1) Consider how many active pedophiles there are in the US; then
2) From that fraction of the population, consider how many might have the resources to be "big donors"; then
3) From THAT fraction of the population, consider how many would be donating to Penn State.
THEN try to imagine how Sandusky would possibly know, among the big donors, who was a pedophile and who wasn't. I'm assuming he wouldn't ask every "big donor" he found, because he'd blow his cover. Would they have a secret handshake?
By the way, Penn State ISN'T doing its own investigation exclusively. The people who are putting Sandusky on trial have their own investigation under way.
Sorry to rain on the rumor parade, but this schlock is getting worse than "Obama is a Socialist/Communist/Muslim" crap.

7. Birds of a feather flock together.
But then you don't believe that.
So I guess you think that any time a ring of internet pedophiles is busted then it's all a frame-up since it's statistically impossible for one pedophile to know another?
Oh, the donations don't just cover Penn State. It also involves Sandusky's charity which could have donors from all areas of the country and walks of life. You can bet investigators will be all over that list.

8. So they do have a handshake.
Gotcha. It's good that we have such well-informed people like you to clear that up for everyone.

9. I agree with you that the charity is a likely point of convergence.
