Villaraigosa, who earlier this month distributed ponchos to Occupy L.A. protesters when the weather was wet, said Wednesday that the encampment next to City Hall "cannot continue indefinitely."

In a release, the mayor said Occupy LA’s 500-plus tents cost more than $2,700 a day in sanitation, security, and other expenses.

According to one city official, damage to the lawn and sprinklers could cost the city over $400,000

“It’s gross, guys are always pissing on any tree within a one mile radius of City Hall. It’s far worse at night where they think that people can’t see them taking a shit in public,” said an LAPD officer who did not want to be named.

You know, I call bull crap on that headline.  "Plague" rather implies the idiots have no control over sanitation, which they do.  They wouldn't be 'plagued' with living and eating in their own body wastes if they didn't want to do so.  What was the line in Moonstruck..."Don't sh** where you eat."  I don't know why these subhumans haven't contracted more than crabs.
