 Advertisements [?]If we are going to prosecute the prostitutes we have to prosecute the johns as well. I don't know if she was offed or did herself in, but the prosecution was persecution as far as I can see. And I sincerely believe that it was done the way it was to protect the hypocrites in Congress and government who used her services.

Why would she kill herself with an appeal pending? She has an aged mother with a heart condition; why would she she choose to hang herself with the likelihood her ailing mom would find her like that? Palfrey was a fighter- again, why would she give up with her appeal pending?

Palfrey believed her life could be in danger, and stated that it would not be suicide if she were found dead; she said so on a radio program along with implicating that the VP himself, and other extremely powerful, high-profile men in Washington were clients. If this story is true, and if I were the young ladies who could eye-ball Cheney as witnesses to the deeds, I'd be taking the next flight out to a remote part of the world and changing my identity. I wonder if any of Palfrey's ladies of the night are mysteriously missing.

Actually, I saw the breaking news of this story on the Drudge Report just as I was pulling out the oars to row over to Skins's island yesterday.  I saw the headline and thought, "Ho-hum, another celebrity disaster."

Then I thought no more of it.

I've been really surprised at how this event has captured the rapt attention of the primitives and sub-primitives.

'D.C. Madam' found hanged

(CNN) -- Deborah Jeane Palfrey, known as the "D.C. Madam," was found dead in Florida on Thursday, according to Tarpon Springs police.

Palfrey hanged herself in a storage shed on her mother's property, where she had been staying, police said. Palfrey's mother, 76-year-old Blanche Palfrey, found the body, police said.
Palfrey was convicted April 15 in connection with a high-end prostitution ring catering to Washington's elite. She had said in interviews that she would kill herself before going to prison.
