I'm shocked the DUmmies have not posted:

33% of OWS protestors were unfairly jailed in Nebraska!!

I haven't seen that Omaha Steve's weighed in on the matter yet, but I'm sure he will.

Well good.. at least 2011 is almost over.

I need to get drunk and then maybe I could translate Nadin to English.

Ain't enough free booze in Vegas for that.

Frankly, if her husband really is an ANAV (Quartermaster Chief) on a SD-based boat, I'm wondering why he hasn't taken her down on the boat for a dependent's cruise and shot her ass out Tube #4.

I get the impression nutso nadin's long-suffering husband has no idea what she's doing.

I suspect nutso nads hubby is the origin for the term, "drunken sailor".
If I was married to that scrunt, I'd never see another sober day for my entire life.
I sure do pity that poor squid.

The local newspaper has a front page picture up real close of our "Occupy" protesters and you can count about 6-8 in the picture. I went down yesterday to the second most librul city in kalifornia and there were 5 people "Occupying" the plaza. Then I went to "Occupy" the local micro beer bar with 10 drinking buddies. We did not get any ink on the front page but we did have twice the amount of "Protesters" than OSB.  So no Nadaindabrain it is not growing.

When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

Occupy is growing, and fast

Even if she was right, which is rare and not the case here anyway, the same could be said of an aggressive cancer or an MRSA infection, none of which are good things.

Occupy Raleigh is down to 1 or 2 people out there every morning.  Earlier this week the lone protestor was putting and emergency call out for someone to take his place since he had to leave within the hour.

Someone showed up and an hour later he posted about how he was sent home from work for being late. :loser:

Greensboro is down to about 12 regulars and now they're talking about aborting the occupy thing since the space they were renting for their occupation is unavailable after this weekend.  They're talking about finding an indoor space for the winter. :loser:

25 years ago we had Ronald Reagan, Johnny Cash and Bob Hope.  Now we have Obama, no hope and no cash.

When I see those "Fight for communism" signs, my blood boils.

Just reading your post, my blood boils!

Scubaguy, that sounds like a teeming mob, all right.  Good luck getting around town and stuff.

Here's the report from my neck of the woods, filed on 10/29:

Quote
Protesters gathered in Watertown's Public Square Saturday for the second Saturday in a row in support of the "Occupy Wall Street" movement.

This time, it was activists with Veterans for Peace.  They discussed a wide range of concerns, including bringing the troops home from overseas and ensuring they have access to good jobs when they get back.  They also talked about what protesters have called "corporate greed."

"I think that the idea that the "Occupy" movement is anti-capitalist is erroneous.  What the "Occupy" movement is looking for is a moral form of capitalism so that it functions fairly and justly," says Katherine Fitzgerald, a participant in the "Occupy Watertown" protest.

There were only a handful of people at today's demonstration, but protesters say they have the support of many more.

Followed by a picture of 4 elderlyish people.  One was holding a sign wanting the troops home, another had an American flag, and two others holding VERY wordy signs that I can't make out.
The quote above is interesting.  I get the impression you could have a rational conversation with this little group.

12. I believe there is a scene in V For Vendetta near the end where the MSM is blaring into empty rooms

The wildfires are most likely undercover police.

LOL!
I still remember a few years ago when there were those major wildfires in California, there was a DU thread in which a DUmmy claimed Bush was behind the fires. The reason for this? The DUmmy in question apparently went into some kind of new age meditation state or something looking for answers, and asked "The spirits" or whoever to reveal who was behind the fires, and for an answer, kept seeing the image of Texas in her mind over and over again. She interpreted this as to meaning that Bush had started the fires (Never mind, you know, the tens of thousands of other people who live in Texas).
And yet, these same DUmmies claim Christians are the ones whose beliefs are irrational.

People are talking on how joe six pack...yup he's gotten off the couch, is getting bit up by the system. Yet, our media keeps playing these intramural games. This is not a normal year. No, the republican field ain't deep. But that's not the point. Nor will the department of truth will cover this, for the most part...but it willbe a LLLLOOOONNNGGGG winter.

I'm stumped.  I simply cannot comprehend this high a level of stupid.  I have to believe it's drug induced, because even high school dropouts are more coherent than this.

Well, see, DU is like a big acoustic resonator of stupid.  Just ordinary stupid goes in, but it comes out megastupid after bouncing up and down the tube.

That could be possible Frank. I remember when TRG was here and at the old home he found out that one of the wives of a senior officer at an Amry post in Texas was posting some rather derogatory comments on DU about the service and more. Didn't take long before the husband was called on the carpet to the Division Commander to answer for her post and not long after that she hauled ass for Canada. She went by the name Lynn the Dimm I think.

How can the 99% movement be growing if they are protesting the 1%?  I'm not following the logic here.  By definition, the only way the movement can grow is if more people join their cause.  But they're already 99%.  Only people from the 1% could join the 99%, but then it would be like the 99.5% protesting the .5%.  Are they having babies that fast in the OWS camps?
