On Nov 5th all the moonbats in the world plan on closing their accounts with banks and moving their $3.75 to credit unions.
The thing that flummoxes me, having been in a credit union most of my life, is why anybody would do business with an institution that doesn't serve them well?

If my credit union didn't satisfy me, I would look around to see what might serve me better. Then I might find how good my credit union really is or find something better.

The thing about DUmmies is they want to manufacture monsters out of everything.

Every action those clowns ever do, is all part of a herd, if someone else comes up with some "bright idea" they jump on the bandwagon right away.

They need someone or something to blame for their own failures.

Nov 5 in my town is a Saturday. Are the DUmmies planning to forgo a day of sleeping in to get to the bank in the morning. Banks around my part of the world close around 11 or 12 on Saturday. I do live in fundy red-state hell though.

I think most banks close early on Saturday, so they will have to get up before noon for once.

They won't.

The OWS primitives have manufactured something with a built-in point of failure, so they can blame someone else when nothing of any consequence happens.

Just a couple of historical comments:

Triumph of the Will truly is a masterpiece of propaganda, the benchmark against which all other propaganda must be judged and nearly always found wanting in comparison.  In cultural context, it puts Roosevelt's New Deal propagando films and Capra's 'Why We Fight' movies in the shade.  People viewing it today actually have no idea how effective it was, since they don't understand just how far Germany had fallen in the two post-WW1 crashes; the active, enthusiastic Hitler Youth kids in the film look like cute but brainwashed kids to a modern viewer, who does not understand the fact that they looked well-fed, well-dressed, and healthy was hugely significant to the audience for which the movie was intended.

You can look at Guy Fawkes as fighting for a Catholic theocracy, but at the same time he was fighting against a Protestant theocracy which was no better, just mutually oppressive, and whichever one was the evil oppressor simply  depended on whose turn it was to wear the ass-kicking boot.  The English legacy of pointless bloodshed, waste, and oppression of the out-of-power religion from Henry VIII onward is the biggest single reason we have First Amendment.

Amen--Guy Fawkes's legacy, had he succeeded?  Northern Ireland writ large.  And NO, DUmmies, you don't want to be part of that, even today.

So apparently extremism, extra-judicial punishment, torture, warrantless seizures, false imprisonment, indoctrination, unilateral autocracy, undeclared war, no electoral accountability, no separation of powers is OK so long as you wear a creepy mask and you can brainwash  hawt chicks.

V for Hypocrisy

All of these retarded children running around in the Guy Fawkes masks reminds me of a story my old Divo told me one bright San Diego morning.

In 1990, Naval Station San Diego hosted several Soviet warships for a port visit.

Personally, I was very wary of having the commie shitbags in my (then) home port just a few months after playing tag with them in the Pacific.  Okay, I was frikkin' outraged at having them in my (then) home port.

Anyway, there was a lot of trading of uniform items and other things that went on between the Sailors.  There was a rather young Chief Petty Officer that traded a complete uniform with his Soviet counterpart.  While he was walking off the pier, my Divo was walking toward him.  The CPO saluted him and said something to the effect that my Divo should get in on the trading before they (the commie shitbags) ran out of stuff.

My Divo (a very old, crusty and gruff Chief Warrant Officer) asked the young CPO what he had traded.  The CPO told him that he had traded a full CPO dress uniform for a full (equivalent) commie shitbag dress uniform.  He asked my Divo if he had thought about trading for a full commie shitbag uniform.

My Divo, who had had plenty of commie shitbag ordinance whiz past his head as part of the brown water fleet in Vietnam, very "politely" told the young CPO that the only way he would ever be in possession of a commie shitbag uniform was if it had a bullet hole in it.

My feelings about the Guy Fawkes masks pretty much run along that same line.
"We make men without chests and expect of them virtue and enterprise. We laugh at honor and are shocked to find traitors in our midst. We castrate and then bid the geldings to be fruitful."

C.S. Lewis

A community may possess all the necessary moral qualifications, in so high a degree, as to be capable of self-government under the most adverse circumstances; while, on the other hand, another may be so sunk in ignorance and vice, as to be incapable of forming a conception of liberty, or of living, even when most favored by circumstances, under any other than an absolute and despotic government.

If I could infiltrate them (much easier to do when there's a mask over your face), that would be the reason I'd have one.

Well, supposedly what V's problem centered on a government that imprisoned people without due process and horribly brutalized them in an effort to affect some private agenda...

...

...and to this end V goes out and kidnaps Portman's character and waterboards her until she becomes his personal pawn.

I despise that movie.
As I said earlier, I hate that movie, too.
In addition to what I said in my earlier post, and what you said (i.e. For all of his claims about opposing a brutally oppressive government, he had no problem physically torturing his own strongest supporter just to be assured of her loyalty), a couple more points:
1. We don't even know how many of those evil things the government in the movie actually did; For at least 90% of it, it was just V saying they did it without offering any kind of proof, and Evie (And the audience) simply taking his word for it. If I were her and I'm supposed to believe that the government is involved in some gigantic conspiracy against us, I'd need a hell of a lot more proof than just the unsubstantiated claims of a severely deranged man who kills people (In cold blood at times), blows up buildings and tortures his own supporters.
2. On the subject of "V for Hypocrisy," how's about the hypocrisy of the film portraying all Christians as evil, bigoted, homophobic monsters while simultaneously praising Islam? The gay talk show host who hides his sexuality out of fear of the evil Christians killing him for it keeps a copy of the Koran in his possession because he likes the "Beautiful words and pictures" in it. Never mind that in real life, gays in Christian societies usually don't have much to fear other than getting called a few names, while gays in Muslim societies are likely to be buried in sand chest- deep and pelted to death with heavy rocks by people who follow that book of "Beautiful words and pictures."

I like the movie "V" for Vendetta.   I choose to accept it as just a movie - it's got adventure and intrigue, and Natalie Portman too.   I don't care about any propaganda.   I watch it every year around the 5th of November, not because I'm so into Guy Fawkes, or "V" or any stupid socialist or Catholic ideology...I watch because it's one of my traditions.

I also like watching "Halloween" on Halloween.

I don't support mass murder by masked lunatics on either occasion - I just like the movies.

And I listen to Rage Against the Candy Machine in spite of their politics.

Movie buff, I know you're a movie buff...I shouldn't have to remind you - it's a movie, not real life.

Well, regardless, it's your opinion and that's cool.  I know lots of people who love it and lots who hate it.  There doesn't seem to be many fence sitters on this movie, which indicates to me at least, that it's a somewhat powerful movie.

Primitives have a hard time separating reality from fantasy. I can only imagine its a permanent effect from drug and/or alcohol abuse.

They refer to the (now canceled) series 'The West Wing' and 'President Bartlet' as if they are real.
They view the satirical 'The Daily Show' as a news source.
And they seem to view 'V For Vendetta' as an instruction manual.

..etc etc etc..

I've told a number of people that while I can't stand Springsteen's politics, I absolutely love his music.
