NYC arrest records: Many Occupy Wall Street protesters live in luxury
 Many “Occupy Wall Street” protesters arrested in New York City “occupy” more luxurious homes than their “99 percent” rhetoric might suggest, a Daily Caller investigation has found.

For each of the 984 Occupy Wall Street protesters arrested in New York City between September 18 and October 15, police collected and filed an information sheet recording the arrestee’s name, age, sex, criminal charge, home address and — in most cases — race. The Daily Caller has obtained all of this information from a source in the New York City government.

Among addresses for which information is available, single-family homes listed on those police intake forms have a median value of $305,000 — a far higher number than the $185,400 median value of owner-occupied housing units in the United States.

Some of the homes where “Occupy” arrestees reside, viewed through Google Maps and the Multiple Listing Service real estate database, are the definition of opulence.

While it would not be fair to conclude that the arrested protesters are fully representative of a movement that is not completely understood, this information forms the most complete snapshot yet of the demonstrations’ more militant participants.

It also reinforces the persistent critique of protesters as entitled, upper-class agitators with few legitimate grievances.

London’s Daily Mail newspaper, for example, recently highlighted signs of wealth among the throngs in Zuccotti Park.

“Sleeping beside the hardcore activists are increasing numbers of wealthy students turning up to make the most of the party atmosphere, drugs and free food,” reporters Paul Bentley and Micela McLucas wrote in October. “While they dress down to blend in, the youngsters’ privileged backgrounds are revealed by glimpses of expensive gadgetry or the absent minded mention of their private schools during heated political debates.”

 Are we really so self-obsessed now that the idea of a rich person rallying against greed is such an unrealistic proposition in the minds of many Americans?

I also don't believe this piece for a second. It makes too many assumptions about people based on one factor (their homes). Doesn't tell anybody anything. Lame. Just lame.

Seems that franksolich and others were right with their first impressions of the occupoopers being from the upper crust of the economic classes and some being iced with trust funds. If they somehow, someway get the wishes, it could really put the bite on their collective, fat, wallets.

Those opulent homes are from around the country, the rich hippies traveled (first class) to get to the site.  The DUmp is pathetic.  In thread after thread, all they can say is "consider the source.  Nuff said."  and disregard it completely.  DUmbasses, the rest of the country isn't so quick to simply throw something away because it came from Daily Caller.  It's a pretty respected website.  Oh forget it, stick your head in the sand some more; what the hell do I care?  Makes it that much easier to take you by surprise.

Fat Bastard is asking the "evil" 400 richest people in the U.S. to "just give back $1 million" Is he aware of the charitable contributions that these people make?  I am not but I would hazard a guess that each of them donate more than $1 million to charities or foundations.  Not that they are under obligation to do so, nor is it any of his business if they donate or not.  But since he has such a hard-on for rich people giving their money back, just how much does Fat Bastard give back of his millions of $$ that he has?

Which is more than likely true... but those brats still live there and get a nice mansion to grow up in.  Myself, nor my husband, grew up in a beautiful home such as those pictures.  They aren't working and need to do something with their time.  Why any "rich" kid would want to hang out with these people is beyond me.
