I'm happy the DUmbasses have developed a newly found respect for veterans, especially considering it was only a couple of years ago they were declared to be "unable to find a job anywhere else, brainwashed robots, babykillers, sadists, torturers, psychopaths, bullies looking to turn their videogame-inspired bloodlust loose on the poor innocent little brow-skinned people of the Middle East", and so on.
What a change of heart.
That said, there's nothing to guarantee that a veteran cannot be an asshole. The only thing we took issue with, DUmmies, is your proclaiming them as assholes simply by virtue of the fact of their
being a veteran. Veterans are not above reproach for the rest of their lives. They are not granted carte blanche to do or say anything without question. Most go on to lead productive and honorable lives, but a few turn out to be real scumbags who for some reason left the lessons of the service behind them. Some go as far as to throw in their lot with traitorous, America-hating shitheels like yourselves. There are always aberrations in any group.
What's worse, though, are the cynical bottom feeders like yourselves who wouldn't dream of serving their country in the military, who use the term military as an epithet and see themselves as morally above such an endeavor, using a person's veteran status for your own selfish agenda. You wrap yourself in the cloak of "respect our veterans" when in any other situation you wouldn't give them the time of day. You're not fooling anyone with your sudden reverence for America's troops. They're just pawns to you like any other identity group.
