Anonymous is going after Fox News... Bravo!
« on: October 24, 2011, 07:44:25 PM »
I was just commenting yesterday about how the Left would love to censor and shut down conservative speech, and lookee what I find today. Is there any doubt that DUmmies would vote for a legislator who promised to use the power of the government to do the same thing?

I applaud this action. This is a war, and Fox news is the equivalent of Joseph Goebbels, Nazi truth minister, in their propaganda machine.

I would have approved of attacks against Goebbels various media outlets too if I had been around at the time.

23. Thanks to FOX, Acorn was shut down

and Planned Parenthood was almost shut down, so I think they and all their lies are a legitimate target.
They are not legitimate news. I don't think lies that are slanderous and destructive should be protected.

1. So Anonymous seeks to censor those with whom it disagrees.

That is the road to tyranny. I doubt that they will have much success. In the process they will piss off a lot of ordinary folks who won't like someone else deciding what they can and can't watch.

Hey GSC, how does it feel to be surrounded by a group of little proto-fascists?

Have you ever heard a conservative say MSNBC should be taken off the air, or Current TV, or any of the Leftist radio shows? Have we ever said Michael Moore should not be able to make his movies or Naomi Klein should not be published? Have Republicans ever rushed the stage, thrown pies or blocked the doorways to prevent liberal speakers from plying their trade on college campuses?

We'd rather have the public hear them and know where they stand so it can be refuted. Leftists would rather practice totalitarianism. It's the only way they can succeed.

I think I saw the below on FOX. It looks like it could have a couple of the occupy folks. I think it's positive. They got picked up.

Fox already decide what you can and can't watch.

Delighted to see this posted and will plan to revisit on Nov. 6th.

About the Swiffer.  An excellent example of marketing but the unit it self is not worth a pint of warm spit. (which might actually do a better job of cleaning).   Give me my dust mop, feather duster, and, a sponge mop with a bucket full of hot water.  I can clean rings around the Swiffer for a lot less.

Swiffer is  :loser:

I suspect that this DUmmie would have been goose stepping right along with the rest of the National Socialists drinking down the propaganda of Goebbels.

If I recall correctly, one of our founders said something like......."It's unwise to pick a fight with someone who buys ink by the barrel........."

I also recall the Obama administration tried something like this early on, and it turned out (and continues to) poorly.

According to Anonymous, Fox News is guilty of “belittling” protesters by “using words such as filthy, disgusting, and dirty to describe the protesters.”

Somehow, "Teabagger" is not a "belittling" word, let alone not just demeaning but also a sexual harassment term. Got that.

BY THE WAY...

Can anyone tell me what Anonymous can do to actually accomplish taking down Fox News? I mean from a technical standpoint. No, I don't mean the exact process; that would be irresponsible. I just mean the general process in how they would accomplish this 5th-grade script kiddie act. Thanks.

#anonymous reminds me of Chef's "fruity little club" from South Park.  If FNC did comment that the OWSers were filthy, disgusting, and dirty, well then, "Truth is an absolute defense to a defamation claim. "

And #anonymous is a fruity little club.

Anonymous planned to shut down the stock exchange and failed...
Giving the day and the target allows Fox to plan ahead with counter measures.

I predict: another Fail.

The good about Anonymous being Anonymous is no one will make fun of them after they splat face down in the street again.

Anonymous are the freaks who were at the Occupy events wearing those goofy Guy Fawkes/ V for Vendetta masks, aren't they?
That's one of the many things about liberal protestor idiots that makes me laugh.
They are protesting the supposed evils of capitalism, all while wearing plastic, mass- produced masks made in a filthy factory in China by workers earning starvation wages, used as merchandise for a multimillion- dollar Hollywood film. Do they honestly not grasp the hypocrisy in that?

I talked with a few of them on Twitter. They are oblivious to the irony and, at the same time, have no sense of humor.

62. If there were still regulations on the books to keep the news media truly "balanced..."
I would agree with you 100%.

However, since what we have in Fox "News" is a propaganda outlet which lies and distorts at will and ad nauseam, with no repercussions from the FCC or otherwise, I'm going to have to say that anybody with the cojones to throw some monkey wrenches into their works has my blessing.

The people most certainly do have a right to watch whatever they want. But at the same time, Fox "News" is committing its own "tyranny" on a daily basis with no fear of rebuke. If the government is so neutered that it can no longer maintain a semblance of truth in reporting, then by all means let groups like Anonymous make it far more expensive for the liars, obfuscators and purveryors of distorted "news" to operate.

And as far as those pissed off ordinary folks, it's a pretty safe bet that nearly all of them are a lost cause anyway if they allow their world views and outlooks to be defined by Fox "News." They can go whine about it at their next Teabagging balls-on-chin rally.

Greenstormcloud is fighting valiantly over there, alone, against tyranny.  The responses are all childish.  They're really not getting it.  Why can't they just sit down and think for a minute?  GSC couldn't be more clear.  "You take away a right, you're going to find that you don't have it either."
