Halloween Decoration Removed From Brooklyn Home After Being Called Racist
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – A Halloween display at a home in Brooklyn has been taken down after some called it a symbol of racism.

A scarecrow painted to have dark skin was hanging by a rope from a tree in front of a home in Kensington.

Some neighbors say the homeowner gets in the spirit of Halloween every year and believe he meant no harm by the display.

But one councilman argued it was reminiscent of a lynching.

1. "Police settled the dispute by removing the scarecrow figure from the tree."
Given that this is private property, what business do the police have forcing someone to take down a Halloween decoration?

Uh-oh.

Could be worse he could have set up a nativity scene for winter holiday.  :-)
I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

Didn't somebody have a lynched Sarah Palin a couple of Halloween's ago? Kind of remember the DUmmies being okay with that.

2. Please. One of these things does not belong, which one could it be?
Followed by several photos.
One of which shows a scarecrow hanging from a tree.

4. The one with the birds on his head.
Clearly he's not scaring any crows at all.

I guess you can't make any "ghosts" out of sheets and put them in the yard, either. Someone might think they look like the Klan.

Nah.
JJackson would demand every fourth sheet be black. :fuelfire:

The DUchebags will always be for First Amendment rights...as long as they agree with it.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

Any scarecrow is basically racist. Let's break it down. You have the word "scare" which means to cause great fear or nervousness. Then you have the word "crow" which refers to a bird that is black. Great fear + black = racist.

For the record, I do NOT believe that a scarecrow is basically racist. The above was my attempt at placing myself in a DUmmie state of mind. An attempt to see things through the eyes of the primitives.
I'll let you guys decided if I reached full DUmmification.

Flippy, do you know any fictional spirit guide Scarecrows?  You could ask them if they think it is racist.

Indeed somebody did, and indeed the DUmmies not only were okay with it, they portrayed everyone who expressed concern over the Palin effigy as being evil bigots crushing free speech rights.

It's obvious you already had the keen power of observation, so I'm stymied as to anything else you could "win" from that accurate observation.
