It's so easy to topple the 1%
Edited on Tue Oct-18-11 06:01 AM by chillspike
Just stop giving them our energy in the form of work.

Stop working for them.

Go self sufficient.

We work for these assholes to feed ourselves.

What if instead we grew a garden, raised chickens rooted our efforts and energy in getting our needs more directly from the Earth instead of some Overlord we've voluntarily give power to?

Take away their power.

A good book about people who do this on a limited scale is "A Different Kind of Luxury" by Andy Couterier.

I myself am working mightily toward building such a life free of wage slavery. Once I secure some land I won't take out loans to build on it. I'll build what I can with whatever energy or money I already have so I won't need to sell myself out totally to the 1% to pay for it all. I'll only need worry about food and taxes, basically. If I must work here and there to get something I need, it will only be just long enough to earn enough to get what I need and that's it. The idea is to limit your recurring bills so that will limit the length and number of times you'll need to work for others for money.

I realize not everyone can do this but if more people did, without our labor, the weaker the 1% would become.

Do it, DUmmy.  Shut down your Internet, provided by the evil comcast corporation.  Turn off Rachel madcow, brought to you also by the evil comcast, through a tv made by the maniacal Sony corporation.  Go out to your Occupy protest, but leave your Ford in the driveway.  You can't even take your schwinn bike.  You're not supporting those corps either.  You've got to walk, but remember to leave your Reeboks and Nikes behind.

Now that I think about it this just may work.

Give em 40 acres and a mule. Let them build a house with their own hands. Let them plow the land and grow their own food. Let them accomplish true self sustaining skills....

then take the land away from them and redistribute it to hippies who know nothing of caring for the land.
The outrage this will create will result in a generation of conservatives!

What the DUmbass is talking about has been around since the beginning of time. It's called "subsistence farming".

Billions of people all over the world live that way now. Every single one of them would risk his life for a chance to live in America.

The DUmpmonkies need the 1% SO MUCH MORE than the 1% need them.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

I hope you know how to make your own hammers and saws and nails and chicken wire to build a coop. And to build your own tractor to till the land and make your own fertilizer and insecticides....well you can see where I am going with this.

Going totally off grid? Don't forget the wood stove and the wood lot. Can't have you working for the man three weeks out of every month to pay for drinking water, light and heat. I got a picture of the home area of my grandfather's farm, circa 1917. Wood stacked everywhere and it didn't get there by itself. Winters are long and cold and that fire has got to be going all the time.

I hope he does it. I'd buy the neighboring plot just to sit there and laugh at the bozo, especially at day four when the parasites in the creek water hatch out and wreak havoc on his digestive tract.

If you did you would find a extention cord running from your house by day two.

...Topple the 1% -

These primitives do realize that they are wishing to destroy the lives of one out of every 100 Americans, right ?

-Because that's what 1% is. If we assume an equal distribution, there are at least two people on every primitive's Facebook account that need to be destroyed.

-If we assume an average family size of 4 people - then at least one family member out of every 25 households will be targeted by primitives for elimination.

I've been telling them to do this for years, since they hate capitalism so much, but they won't. They'd rather sit around and confiscate from the achievers in capitalism, wait for them to accumulate wealth again, confiscate it again, lather, rinse, repeat...

They can't survive without capitalism.

If it weren't simultaneously sickening, it would be funny as hell comparing the DUmbass screeds against capitalism to the pompous diatribes of the looters and moochers  in Atlas Shrugged.  Every day they more and more closely resemble the caricatures in Rand's novel.

So he's working towards it but doesn't even have the land yet? How far along can the plan be? Dreaming about an idyllic life after reading a book? Wonder if he's even got a savings account. And how's he getting the money to buy it? A job with an evil corporation?

Maybe he is planning on a squatter's claim to land.

Squativersary Party

Phone calls with my kid are always interesting. Tonight she told me she attended a Squativersary Party. Her friends have now been squatting in their (foreclosed? abandoned?) house for 5 full years. They've grown from two people in one house to a cluster of 16 people in 6 houses.

We were talking about what would happen if they got busted, she said not much, they might get evicted. It would be a loss because they've done a ton of renovations, but on the other hand they've gained a lot of building skills so she figures they'd still come out ahead. My daughter has some carpentry skills and is excited about the possibilities. I think her modern-day version of the american dream is to live in a nice squat someday.

How naive of you. You didn't think that the DUmmies weren't going to still apply for benefits did you? Once the harvest comes up a bit short, they'll be clamoring for a handout, per the usual.
Never demand that which you are incapable of taking by force, DUmmie.

So this Dummy wants to live like the Amish or the Mennonites? He or she really has no clue of how many of these farms have failed since the days of King George.
