Cain is streaming in Memphis.

Sybilll is there.  She just called me and said it so crowded and there are so many people.  I am not going to be able to go if it's that crowded because I can't risk coming back late for work. :bawl:  She said she would get me some bumperstickers :panic:

Boots on the ground!  We need a firsthand report from Sybilll!

Per the OP:  another annoying hand gesture dems use is that thumb thing.  Clinton and John Edwards used it.  And I can't stand to watch Nancy Pelosi and her gawdawful hand/claw gestures.

Unfortunate coincidence I'm afraid.  It just so happened that a reporter in each press conference asked the speaker to disclose their IQ.

Are you sure that it wasn't the aggregate IQ between the three of them?

This is series! Iran has space monkeys. We barely have a space program anymore.

We have protest monkeys. Iran has very few protest monkeys.

Sorry folks, my much delayed account of today's Herman Cain rally in Memphis.  I was expecting a couple hundred people.  Then I got there.  WOW!  Most local stations are echoing my opinion that 2000 were there.  It was hard to judge because of the stage configuration, and the number of people under the trees surrounding Herman's bus.  After a delay (Gina, you would have been late) to add equipment to the sound system to accommodate the crowd, Herman took center stage, prefaced by a few Reagan recordings.  Most of the speech was a collection of his platform that we have heard in debates, but presented in fluid, uninterrupted time was electrifying and inspiring, and the crowd roared in appreciation.  The long string of things that make us batty about Obama was a slam dunk.  I will not apologize for America, I will close the borders, I will drill here, drill now, etc, brought the crowd to an enthusiastic frenzy.  He addressed the latest smears against him, mocking them.  The biggest laugh was a joke about asking his driver to see if his teleprompters fell off the bus (he was sans teleprompter).
The crowd was diverse, both in age and ethnicity.  I only got one decent picture of the crowd and Herman.  I am so vertically challenged, and was so far away due to crowd size, that you may need a microscope.  Unfortunately, just like being unable to change my avatar (UGH), I am being prevented from uploading the one decent pic.  I am sending it to Gina to see if she has more success than I.
My overall experience was awesome.  First, Conservatives just don't come here, as this area is written off as voting Democratic (they do), so I was thrilled to see my first Presidential candidate.....ever.  People are so ready to embrace anyone that is the antithesis of Obama, and Herman hit it out of the park.  I left pumped up.  What a great day.  I am sorry you missed it Gina, but perhaps there will be future chances for us to meet.

Cain's Facebook page has a picture and crowd estimate from Jackson of 3,000 people.  I hope Memphis drew a few more bodies, but Jackson is close enough to drive there in an afternoon.

Jackson is less Dem than is Memphis, but there is still a sizable Dem presence there.

Here is Sybillllllll's Photo!

Memphis is 65% black and all democrat. Memphis is hugely declared racist but I have to say the most outspoken racists are the black people here.

Thank you, Sybill!  We need to get together and go to the casino's or some shopping.   :cheersmate:
