That's awesome, GOBUCKS. Pretty good crowd?
For an appearance with zero advance notice, I guess so. He was getting ready to leave when I got there, and there were already a bunch of people waiting for him by the tour bus. There were people all over the store, mingling with the usual dozens of idle Barnes & Noble employees, carrying books he'd already signed. I picked up a book and had to wait no more than a minute to get it signed and say a few words. If there had been a line, I would have left.
Anyway, if he's not just in it to sell books, which I still suspect, it may be a nice souvenir some day. I have other books signed by former presidents, and they were all a lot more expensive. This one just cost five minutes of my time and the price of the book.
