The Hunger Hoax
« on: October 09, 2011, 05:46:17 PM »
Here is an interesting article in National Review by Thomas Sowell

Hunger Hoax

He says

"When the Centers for Disease Control and the Department of Agriculture examined people from a variety of income levels, however, they found no evidence of malnutrition among those in the lowest income brackets. Nor was there any significant difference in the intake of vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients from one income level to another."

However, I have been searching and I can't find the studies by the  Centers for Disease Control and the Department of Agriculture he talks about.  I have a liberal friend who thinks Sowell just made up the story.  Can anyone here find the studies?

Considering he mentioned a report by Dan "the liar" Rather from 1991, the studies may be from a long time ago, too.

They must be out there somewhere.  Just about every little study ever done on anything is on the internet now.  If anyone can find them I would be interested.

Well, if someone says there is a study, and it turns out there was no such study, it looks bad.

I think the labels are reversed on those study participants, Rugnuts.  Just sayin...

Well, if someone says there is a study birth certificate, and it turns out there was no such study birth certificate, it looks bad.

(FIFY) :-)
