Yeah, you know this is something the geocentric primitives do that drives me nuts.
Note to primitives from Massachusetts: Massachusetts is not the
only state with a town called "Springfield;" practically all states in the union have a "Springfield."
Note to primitives from Florida: Miami and Tallahassee are the
only cities in Florida that do not need the additional identifier, "Florida." All other towns and cities in Florida do, though.
Even for the most sophisticated of readers, too many times we read something thinking it happened in California, and it turns out it happened in Vermont.
