Some days life sucks

I'm going to be having another epidural on my neck tomorrow afternoon. My third since the end of July. I've been in a lot of pain the last few days. Pinched nerve right C4-5.

Today my sister and I got mom's test results on her mental abilities. Mom is 87. We now will have to move her to assisted living against her will.

Medicaid will make this possible. I thank ALL the Democrats fighting any cuts to Medicaid!

So many Republicans are pro life. How many support a pro-quality life for seniors like my mom?

My fellow Nebraskan's lying again.

It's the Magic One making these cuts, not we evil Republicans.

Quit lying, Steve.  It doesn't look good.

1. I'm sorry Steve

Neck pain sucks. Have you consulted a chiropractor?

12. I had been seeing one of the best for my back

He won't touch it while this is going on.

The best thing my fellow Nebraskan can do for his back is lose about 120 pounds.

That'd help considerably.

6. At least you'll get some relief

I don't know how often one can safely have epidurals, but when there is nothing working for the pain, it's better than zombying out on PKs. I've never had to have one myself, but if it has come to that point, I know you are suffering. Hope it gets better for you soon.

I saw a segment on the news this evening where a lady had a nerve that was being irritated by pressure from some blood vessels. After years of pain, a doctor finally went in and wrapped the nerve with felt where it was touching the blood vessels. The effect was immediate and all the pain had vanished! Don't know if your affliction qualifies, but it might be worth checking into.

13. On the positive side, some days life is good. Consider that there is a place that can give care to Mom, and is affordable due to Medicaid.

Consider there are folks skillful enought to give you the treatment you need, and you are in a position to receive it.

Life can be considered good, looking at it from the different angle.

Absolutely correct, but a great big "No sale" since the government can't do that for him.

The Omaha Weeper is going to a union-paid quack as part of his campaign for the disability gravy train.

Three times he has gotten an epidural and he wants to run for office? Not a good idea since the people actually want their office holders to actually work for a living and not lay on their fat asses. This is especially true in Nebraska.

If she's going to thje ALF "against her will", then I have to question what kind of "quality of life" she's going to experience.

Now, I fully understand that this decision is necessary in many instances where the family is no longer able to meet the needs of their elderly kin.

It just seems that so many DUmmies are ready right off the bat to foist their "geezers" (their term, not mine) off on a faceless government system and declare it good. Just like charity, with them, it always begins in someone else's pocket, not their own.
