But only in the terms that his death is useful to them.  :mental:

It's not fair.

The greatest thing about America WAS that she wanted to be fair. What happened?

Fairness was never part of the deal. Opportunity is however available to those willing to work.

Well, I dunno.

It seems to me the late red round one did get the best medical care possible for those afflicted with pancreatic cancer, and at the premier institution for dealing with the problem, Virginia Mason Hospital in Seattle.

It also seems to me the medical care the late red round one got extended his life longer than Steve Jobs' was, by some weeks.

I dunno what the stupid primitive's talking about here.

Far be it for me to point out the obvious but...

...actually having money didn't seem to do much for Jobs either.

There are 2 different types of pancreatic cancer, the type that Steve Jobs had was the slow moving type.

I think it's hilarious that the primitive actually believes the late red round one was a more valuable, more worthwhile, contributor to humanity than the computer guy.

13. The difference is that Steve Jobs never had to think twice about

where the money would come from for his care. Andy and many others did/do.

Not true! we treated Patients with serious illnesses whether they had insurance or not, it didn't make a difference to us at all if someone didn't have insurance and they got great care.

12. Didn't Andy Stephenson get surgery at Johns Hopkins?

I understand that's a pretty good cancer center. What are you saying was substandard about his treatment?

17. I am glad you brought Andy up. We need to stop sometime

and remember great people who aren't with us anymore. Wish he was still here. We sorely
need him now.

My Dad's best friend died with colon cancer after being brushed off by his doctor "no need
to worry about those pains." I bring this up because it was the exact same time Reagan
had colon cancer and had all the best doctors focusing on him...and he survived that.

As for pancreatic cancer.....my coworker's wife felt a pain in her arm (in her 40's), went
to the doctor and was diagnosed with 6 months to live. My friend went on a leave of
absence and they bummmed around Europe for 6 months, she came home and died.

Pancreatic cancer is a sure killer and in this case, I can't imagine that Jobs' extended life
was a bowl of cherries. In fact, it was probably pure hell.

Same with Ted. He had the best treatment in the world. But, with brain cancer, and the best
doctors, it probably only bought him a couple months.

If you are going to die. You are going to die. The sadest part...the diseases
where money allows people to live, while others die.

What do the primitives need the late red round one for?

What did the late red round one ever do for the primitives, or for society in general?

Essentially, all the late red round one did was hang around Skins's island November 2004-June 2005, for about seven months, usually begging for money (until Doug's stupid ex-wife took over the job in April).

I don't recall a single real life accomplishment of the late red round one.

Well, I am truly confused about what the good was, that the late red round one did.

Did he feed the poor?  Did he shelter the homeless?  Did he heal the sick?  Did he befriend the lonely?  Did he clothe the unclothed?  Did he comfort the sorrowing?  Did he counsel the lost?  Did he bring light into darkness?  Did he share what he had, with those who had less?

What is it, exactly, that the late red round one did?

All I recall was that he bashed a prominent election reform activist and begged for money.

18. Andy's surgery was delayed for quite a few days over the money thing, IIRC

And that was AFTER the necessary money was already an established fact.

And time was a CRITICAL factor for this type of pancreatic cancer surgery/treatment.

I don't remember the details, but it wasn't pretty.

Anybody remember the details, what was up with this "delayed for quite a few days over the money thing" and "after the necessary money was already an established fact"?

Anybody remember those details?

I was right there on the spot at the time, and I don't.

Andy had money to renovate his home.  His sickness didn't stop that.

DUmmies only remember what they want to remember.

That's all I remember, too, Frank, about what he did in life.  Scam money and get into fights with people.  So much so, that it even made it into that very odd obituary from that online newspaper or whatever it is.  Didn't the obit writer also include some choice DUmp posts?   :mental:

Well, another high five to the freepers for killing Andy, but I'm not sure they really pulled the trigger.

He died from surgical complications, caused by a bigass dust bunny that blew into the operating room and settled into his incision.

At the time it happened, his surgeon was trying to stomp a fast-moving silverfish, and didn't immediately notice the big wad of floating dust.

Having already removed half a pancreas, a big chunk of liver, two gerbils, and a small reptile, the surgeon was overworked; a dustball simply didn't seem that important.

Yes, the check was lost on the mail clerk's desk. Had it not been for the sleuthing skills of Sherlock Waverly of dust bunny fame, he might still be waiting.

Most hospitals welcome patient advocates, moonbats, and just curious members of the public into their mailrooms.

Anyone can go in there and rummage through all the incoming mail, searching for checks and cash that may have been overlooked.

They don't like you to take stuff home, but you can look through it, and some hospital mail is funny as hell.
