Damn! Wisconsin has to get to 71 to end the game in a palindrome now!

Wisconsin has the big bold 'W' while Nebraska has that tiny 'N' I thought was a 'Z' at first.

'W' is the 23 letter of the alphabet. The number 23 is a hugely powerful number.

'N' is 14 which other than being 2 X 7 I'm not aware of much symbolic significance.

Both, however, add up to '5'.

For what it is worth which isn't much.

My g/f likes the Nebraska mascot. I'm neither pro or con but did note that he reminds me of Marc's Big Boy.

In Nebraska's favor the N looks like the Hebrew letter Aleph, my favorite Hebrew letter meaning "ox" whereas W looks like the Hebrew letter Shin meaning "tooth. "

Dude! I live in Madison WI.  I may be conservative but that doesn't mean "completely sane."

Instead of Glee Fox should just broadcast Badger fans singing from the stands. They were very good!

I always thought Herbie Husker was the superior mascot.

I don't follow football at all, but I enjoy college games more than pro ball.  I'm a little embarrassed to admit it, but after the stink with the greedy teacher's union in Madison, I'm rooting for Nebraska.

If Wisconsin where as "progressive" in their football as they are in their other insanities the points would have been equally distributed. Or, he'll, I don't know, maybe they'd even go so far as to attempt to equally distribute the talent.

As crazy as Madison can look on TV from time to time, it is even crazier than. But, for the time being, we still do football right.

Well thank you Nebraska for coming out to enjoy our fair city on this lovely day. Better luck next week.

PS I don't follow college football much except to enjoy the Badgers a few times a season, so I didn't know or realize until tonight that Barry Alverez played for Nebraska. You did a great job of training him up that he left the Badgers much better than he found them.

The Badgers started to become a good team about the time I came to town around '93-'94. I was too new here to really appreciate it but I did appreciate what I could.

LSU won earlier today so we got a chance to watch the Nebraska game and the Florida game.

We're Bo Pelini fans.  We rooted for Nebraska.  I'll say this, Bo is a football head. He'll get them where they want to be.  If not I'll be shocked.

The Florida Alabama game was dirty.  On both sides.

Nick Saban pitched a fit that was highlight film for sure.   :rotf:  That was U G L Y.  :-)

Still, it was a fast game, good to watch.

Stay loyal to your teams.

Well, well, congratulations, Duke, sir.

I refer back to my original comment that Wisconsin has a pretty good team.

Nebraska has a pretty good team too. They just may meet up again before long.

Well, we'll see.

But outsiders (i.e., non-Nebraska, non-Wisconsin) when jeering at Nebraska's debut in the Big 10 should pause to remember we went up against the big one first, the probable champion.  We didn't start out with the weaker teams and progress up; we went after the strongest team first.

And so naturally it was pretty good odds we'd get clobbered.

If the enthusiasm of the fans is any indication, Nebraska will do great long term. And coming out against Wisconsin first at least brought the Nebraskans who made the  trip a very nice weekend in and around Madison.
