Movies That Liberals Hate
« on: September 30, 2011, 10:18:51 PM »
I was watching the John Wayne movie "Hondo" the other day and I was thinking that this movie would outrage Liberals. The theme of self reliance and being tough is something that offends the looney left. I know liberals dislike John Wayne in general, especially with them raving over the half-assed version of "True Grit" released last year. Hollywood, however, wasn't always as liberal as it is today. I thought it would be fun to see what other movies that people on this forum think that liberals would hate.

Good choices so far but I'm going with police dash cam footage. Not just any generic police dash cam footage, mind you like a bunch of DUmmies just sitting around in one of their dingy apartments while passing the bong as they are watching this sort of stuff on Cops. I'm talking about that which pertains to their specific personal cases when they get hauled into court. Ya, that police dash cam footage.

Total. Buzz. Killer.

Just like our boy Steve here, "that's not mine, these aren't my shorts".  :lmao:

It defies the conventional wisdom that the left would have us believe actually happened in Vietnam.

1. '300.' Liberals, including the DUmmies, whined for a long time about this one; One such liberal "Reviewer" actually claimed that people who say they consider '300' to be their favorite movie probably enjoy torturing small animals.
2. 'Batman Begins.' Can be seen as an indictment of the effects of liberalism on our justice system; Criminals and other such scumbags are allowed to run rampant due to the indulgences of a "Tolerant" society, and when the thug who killed Bruce's parents goes on trial, his lawyer relies on the typical ultra- liberal defense attorney tactic of "Sure, what my client did was wrong, but it's REALLY society that's to blame!".
3. 'Iron Man.' Islamic terrorists are villains, and the hero's a corporate CEO who supplies weapons to the US military; In a liberal film, the roles would be reversed.
4. The original 'Nightmare on Elm Street.' Freddy Krueger's backstory is another indictment of the effects of liberalism on our justice system; He molested and murdered a bunch of kids, got caught, but the judge let him go on a technicality, which enraged the Elm Street parents so much that they took matters into their own hands and had Krueger burned alive, which enabled him to become deadlier than ever as a dream demon (In other words, if the judge had done his job and put that animal in prison where he belonged, none of that would've happened).
5. 'The Crow.' The subplot involving the young girl Sarah and her mother definitely can be seen as espousing a conservative viewpoint; Sarah's mom starts the film as a selfish, drug- addicted whore (The sort of woman a liberal film would portray as enlightened, liberated, and heroic), yet Eric gives her a reality check by reminding her that she has a responsibility to take better care of herself and set a better example for her daughter. The last we see of her, she's at least trying to be a good mother to Sarah.
6. 'Demolition Man.' I can't believe nobody's mentioned this yet; It's pretty much mandatory viewing for all adult conservatives, as it perfectly depicts the sort of seemingly benevolent, "For your own good" dictatorship that the Left would seek to inflict on us, and Denis Leary's character in it is the epitome of an American conservative, as shown in an awesome rant he gives late in the movie.

I like most that have already been mentioned.

Here's a few I like that haven't been mentioned .....by Charlton Heston.

Ben Hur

The Ten Commandments.

Omega Man

Yes, definitely Ben-Hur and the Ten Commandments. One movie I thought of this morning that wouldn't have a chance of being made nowadays would be "Delta Force" with Chuck Norris.

Actually, TOP GUN is about a man coming to terms with his homosexuality.

Lawrence of Arabia, because it's evil white men liberating the oppressed, and we can't have that.

Also as JohnnyReb mentioned, just about any Biblical epic.

Another one--

There was one from the early 1960s, starring Jackie Gleason as a deaf man who befriends the skeptical illegitimate child of a prostitute in Paris.  It was all about warmth and in its own way family values.

James Arness' character in that film really, really hated Ed White.

Two other films the libs would hate.
1. Exodus
2. Cast a Giant Shadow

Both deal with the creation of Israel and do not exactly show the Arabs in a good light when compared to the PC of today.
