LINKO
He's been lying and/or swearing by a lie on the DUmp for quite a long time so I don't know if he is telling the truth, doin the usual sympathy mating call, or scamming Jerry Lewis.
I lost my sister to ALS at 49. It is a horrible way to go. If the op has been diagnosed he and his family have my deepest sympathy. ALS is not a diagnosis easily made if I remember correctly so a couple months is reasonable. They rule out everyting else first.
I've been expecting this for a couple of months. Tried going to the state of denial. Then depression. Now acceptance. Of course there is fear what this f'in disease will do to me. Just hope the medical system will let me go out on my own terms when ready.
If the op is truthful then he has an almost certain death sentence. He should have a good second prepared to pull the plug. Make ones wishes known in writing now while he still can it can be too late before you know it.
Watching someone die from ALS is almost as horrible as the disease. You can see them but cannot reach them, it is the most helpless feeing knowing they are trapped in their own body.
Too bad we spent so much on AIDS and so little on ALS.
