lurking primitives, take note
« on: September 29, 2011, 01:12:09 AM »
Decent and civilized people may feel free to ignore this thread and go on to read something else; they already know this stuff anyway, and so it can't possibly be of any interest to non-primitives.

You know, I was stunned upon learning--and the messages are still trickling in--that my fellow Nebraskan Omaha Steve really and truly did not know of the existence of conservativecave until recently.  In the past, he may have heard of conservativecave and another site much older, bigger, and better-known, on which conservativecave is based--but then in the manner of Doug's stupid ex-wife during the Scamdal six years ago, dismissed it without even looking at it; just a few Reichwingers, four or six or eight of them, nothing much.

Nothing to bother looking into, nothing to worry about.

Yeah, right.

Omaha Steve is not a young man, unaware of the ways of the world--in fact, he's getting up there in years--and while being comfortably swaddled in Skins's island, surely he was aware there's a much larger, much more important, much more relevant, world out there beyond the horizon.

It blows me away, that my fellow Nebraskan for so long had been ignorant of--or if knowing of, so dismissive of--that his antics and comments on Skins's island, a public message board, had attracted notice throughout the years, and that there's many who've known my fellow Nebraskan for a very long time now.

(Having at long last discovered conservativecave, one wonders if Omaha Steve's found that other, older, bigger message board with much more material on him, where many of us first became aware of him.)

I dunno if my fellow Nebraskan's ever been featured in one of P-J Comix's most-excellent DUmmie FUnnies; they too have been around for a long time now, and it'd be odd if he hadn't been, at least once or twice.  Given the overwhelming size of freerepublic, if Omaha Steve ever said something especially stupid, and if he has been in fact featured in at least one edition of the DUmmie FUnnies, well, the audience knew no bounds.

I frankly suggest that lurking primitives, all of them, make conservativecave and its larger predecessor their "favorite places" on that "bookmarks" (Firefox) or "favorites" (Explorer) thingamajig, to be consulted at least five or six times a day, so as to learn what decent and civilized people are saying about them, and how much they're laughing at them.  If I were a smart primitive, I wouldn't just come over here once a month or something; I'd come over here every single day, several times a day.

The dumbfounded surprise of Omaha Steve reminds me of something I've written about before--it's in the Sandhills forum here--about how people don't use locks on bathroom doors (or in the case of the primitives, they don't watch what they spew).  Every bathroom I've ever seen has a lock on it, and the lock usually works.  It's meant to be used, if one is taking care of private business in there.

However, there's some inconsiderate fools who walk into a bathroom, shut the door, and sit down.....without locking the door too.

Myself being deaf, I don't hear anything coming from the other side of something, and if the door-knob turns, I naturally assume inside is unoccupied, and flinging open the door, walk inside.

Only to encounter a spectacle I'd just as soon not see, a guy sitting on the commode, his pants down, huffing-and-puffing as he ejects, an expression of stunned and indignant shock on his face as he looks up seeing me.

Well, it's not my fault; there's a lock on the door, and the lock's meant to be used.

Apparently Omaha Steve's been caught sitting there with his pants down too many times to count, but it's his own damned fault; he's got only himself to blame.

I can't point to a specific thread, but i am fairly certain that OmahaSteve has responded, albeit obliquely, to older CC posts.  My read is, he's a giant attention whore, and he was looking for an excuse to walk-back his GCW thread, he seized on the thread here at CC in order to present himself as a martyr and resume posting.  It's all about emotion and sympathy with Steve because he needs a lot of attention and he doesn't get enough of it with his lame Labor Forum posts.

My fellow Nebraskan, being a Democrat, socialist, and primitive, very well may be feigning his pious righteous indignation; perhaps he was aware of conservativecave and its larger predecessor before, but casually dismissed it, thinking that people outside his own ideology and values don't count.

There's no doubt Omaha Steve took this opportunity to present himself as a martyr, a victim; he after all wants to identify with the afflictions and sufferings of a long-ago ancestor.  I'm sure his great-great-great-great-grandmother would be embarrassed, seeing a descendant of hers acting like that.

It's interesting, watching the patterns of lurking primitives.  There's some, such as the Polaroid Kid Pedro Picasso, the Atman primitive, or Chief S itting Bull, the bird-smacking stoned red-faced primitive, who are so narcissistic, so self-centered, they slink over here just to read threads about themselves, none about any of their fellow primitives.

And then there's others, including MineralMan and--surprisingly--the sparkling husband dude, who come over here to read what's here, whether they're featured in a thread or not.  Despite that they're primitives, they do deserve credit for being more curious about other people, which is a good thing.

It should be no wonder many primitives actually believe they're the majority of this country, even though in fact they count about as much as if they were off on some distant, remote, isolated island insulated from the greater wider world outside by miles and miles of sea; if one's little world is the only world one knows, well.....

I'm personally against primitives lurking here; I wish the primitives didn't even know we exist, but as nothing can be done about it, again, I suggest primitives make other sites "favorites" or "bookmark" them, so as to consult them several times a day, to be illuminated about what's really going on, what decent and civilized people see of them and think of them.

What fun Frank, now we can get down to the dirty tales of unexpected finds in public bathrooms.

Was for me in some GOD awful town in the middle of the mid west on a coast to coast drive.

Check out the restrooms at gas stations in small towns.   Better to pee out behind the building, and bring a trenching tool with you.

Some of these expensive resturents have bathrooms so nasty one thinks about canceling their food order.

First thing I do when on the road is to enter a resturant, place a drink order then go wash my hands.   If the bathroom is nasty I drink my drink and leave.

I do this here at home even if I have traded with the business for years.     I have found bars that have no lock on the restroom door,  a Wallmart that had 3 men in the ladies room as they said the mens room was too nasty to be used-------

Yes they were in fact Muslims-----It was their time to pray, so they did so and left--no big deal for me, for the prego woman who needed to go right now, they ignored the men and found a stall.  Lots of interesting things to be found in public rest rooms, sometimes the locks work sometimes they don't.

I worked for a Hardys open 24/7 and each morning at 5 AM had to roust the homeless from the ladies room.   They were washing their hair, doing a French bath and drying out their undies under the hand blower drier.

Sorry Frank for your experience, but some times a cheap locks, and some times it doesn't.

Oh, but vesta, dear, madam.

The primitives have a lock that works, a lock that's damned near infallible.

It's called "being discreet in words and actions."

And what about us folk that just go along with the time and place?????   Where 'Darn where's my trenching tool ?

Then I have yet to meet a primitive that does nothing but complain about any situation, say the streets are filled with crap, so you or I hand the people that live on the street, a huge garbage bag and a pair or gloves.        We even offer to help them clean the crap up., Everyone goes in to watch the football game.

You and I Frank clean up the street, looks great for 12 hours, then the residents themselves begin to throw their garbage into the street and then begin to complain about the mess.

Only thing that will keep the streets clean is to add a $5.00 a week fee, not covered by welfare  pay the fine if the streets are dirty or move out.

The streets will be full of residents that for their own well being are out there picking up every thing in sight.

This will cause trouble, residents that observe a child dropping a Snickers wrapper on the sidewalk will confront the child's parents.   WOW a Big fight here.

Do we wish to become like Singapore , flogging people that spit in the street, toss paper coffee cups into the streets????   People walking dogs that do not clean up after them, should they get 2 lashes on the back----   True it is a beautiful city, clean and inviting.

Our citys are gross, the business that operate do nothing to clean up the arears in front of them, just driving to Norfork VA I saw a kind of waste land there.  2 miles from the tourest areas that are sparkeling clean, the area I lived in had gone so far down I cried.

Tidewater ave. has become a crap hole, crap on both sides of the street, my 2 kids were confused, the Church and school they attended was now borded up.....the Nunnery and the priests home were OK but darn it hurt to see the Church and all the school rooms in disrepaire.

Our old neighborhood had not changed much, but darn the crap we saw for a few miles blew our mind.

Old and confused I am, on how we as a cilivation do not want to take responcibilty for how we live as a comuniety.

Screw the discreet in words and actions, seems quite a few got their dick caught in a wringer this past 18 months.

To, uh, get back on topic, were you ever around our old home, where the antics of Omaha Steve were so often described and commented upon?

There was one member there, LibraryLady, who used to be most generous in sharing her observations of my fellow Nebraskan; she was undeniably an expert on him.  I wish she were still around, and here, but circa 2007, real life interfered for her.

I always say, don't put something in public you don't want anyone to see.

If you do, expect it to be seen.

It amazes me what some people put on the internets.

Yep I miss her.
