Obama's Big Press Conference Adventure
« on: April 29, 2008, 01:34:33 PM »
Anyone else catch him?  I got most of the speech and he could not possibly backpedal faster.

He is throwing Wright under the bus alongside of Grandma.

Hawtie Michelle Malkin blogged it almost real time at http://michellemalkin.com/2008/04/29/obamas-big-press-conference/

I'll grab a few quotes from her:

Quote
I’m outraged by the comments that were made and saddened by the spectacle. The person that I saw yesterday was not the person I met 20 years ago. His comments were not only divisive and destructive, but they end up giving comfort to those who prey on hate. I believe they do not accurately portray the perspective of the black church. They certainly don’t portray mine. If he considers this political posturing, then he doesn’t know me very well. And I don’t know him well either.”

Quote
Why the change in tone between now and yesterday? Obama: “I hadn’t seen it…He wasn’t just defending himself. He was presenting a worldview…What particularly angered me was the suggestion that my previous remarks were political posturing…”

Ok. Let’s be clear then: It wasn’t the fact that Wright has been spewing this same recycled crap for years that finally got Obama mad. It was that he finally realized it was hurting his campaign. And he was personally miffed by Wright’s insults against him.

hussein once again did NOT help himself.  He can't distance himself from Wright because he was in Wright's sphere for over 20 years.  You can't undo that, period.

he's getting it out of the way now. When he's the nominee, he'll say, "that's old news, we already discussed this" when Wright is mentioned. I hope the American public isn't fooled.
I can see November 2 from my house!!!

Spread my work ethic, not my wealth.

Forget change, bring back common sense.

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

It hasn't worked so far -- it is a soul stain that he can't "bleach" out (no pun intended but I am sure DUmpster lurkers will take it that way).
