Michael Moore calls for economic boycott of Georgia - Gov. Deal's office amused

http://www.ajc.com/news/director-michael-moore-urges-11...

“We think it’s cute that he thinks anyone in Georgia would buy his book, but if any Georgian does, I’m happy to double the royalties and buy a pack of gum for a charity of Michael Moore’s choice,” Robinson told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

A crappy insult from a corrupt Governor's office.

1. This Georgian will buy Moore's book and send

Nathan Deal the receipt, and we'll see if he honors his statement.

Should he send big red or juicy fruit?

8. There were Georgians in Jackson on the night of the execution

telling Amy Goodman's viewers not to travel to Georgia or buy pecans or peaches or anything from the state.

I'm sure that tens of people heeded her advice.

27. Savannah was on my list because "Midnight in the Garden"

is one of my favorite stories. But, it's off for now. The Savannah PD basically framed Troy Davis and the community supported that. They can get someone else's tourist $.

20. I'm completely against these types of *statewide* boycotts. All it does

is hurt the average person in that state. It's better to work a political solution and end the death penalty in *all* states.

25. By the time these boycotts really do go into effect

a lot of average people back them. And of course, that's your prerogative.

The average people have nothing to fear, 15 moonbats who don't have any money anyway boycotting the state won't matter.

26. The spokesperson said it. I'd be surprised if Nathan Deal...

knows who Michael Moore is. Seriously. And I certainly wouldn't expect him to read!

It's not like Mikey is well known other than by moonbats and conservatives who pay attention to libs.

Good!  I'm off tomorrow to spend a week in Hilton Head and am planning to go to Savannah probably Tuesday.  With Beth not going, that's minus one idiot who could ruin a great outing by showing her ugly mug around town.

As a Georgian I want to take just a minute to thank beth for not visiting our great state.

And I just added peaches and pecans to my shopping list. I normally don't buy them, but I will since you loons don't plan to. I figure that all I'll have to spend is a couple of dollars to counteract the effects of your little boycott.

As Beth makes an anemic lurch for DOTY late in the season, the people of Georgia have  one less cop killer to support.

Gosh, a pound of pecans and peaches not bought by a handful of copkiller loving loons is really gonna hurt us here in Georgia.  Whatever will we do?

The thing is they are such liars, they will probably sit on crates of Georgia pecans and peaches, peach juice dripping down the chin, while typing "BOYCOTT!" on the DUmp.

The mentions of Savannah for some reason reminds me of a DUmmie moment that I had many, many years ago. Of course, DU didn't exist back then but the feeling I felt at the time is probably what DUers would feel if they read their posts on DU after a miraculous and spontaneous sanity came upon them.

I was still in high school. A friend and I were going to a concert at the Civic Center. The friend was driving. I was relaxing. We got to Savannah, and he asked which way he needed to go to get to the Civic Center. I hadn't been paying attention to our location so I asked where we were. He just knew that we were in Savannah. I knew how to get to the Civic Center. I just didn't know how to get to the Civic Center from our current location. We drove and we drove. Finally I saw a cop sitting in a parking lot and told my friend to pull over to him. I got out and asked if he could tell us how to get to the Civic Center. His reply was simply, "turn around." Right behind me was the Civic Center.

Oh yeah, boycotts. We're starving in SC. The NAACP ordered a boycott of SC years ago and it's really hurting. I hope they keep it in effect forever.

Is that the one over the flag?

I know I read an article a few years back that said a lot of the black folks that work for a living in SC was against the flag boycott because it was hurting them.

Yeah, it's over the flag. The NAACP won't hold a convention ot other national event here...that's all we are missing out on....big deal.

There were a few blacks that demonstrated in support of keeping the flag on the State Capitol building. They seldom if ever got in the news.

Current bestsellers maybe, but I've read a bazillion books I've really enjoyed on Kindle, a few at 9.99, but most for 0.99 - 2.99.
Some publishers price current hot-selling books at 12.99-14-99 on Kindle, so I just skip them. Most will drop in price after a few months.

This was all over the news today.  The economic devastation wrought by this infamous boycott.  Georgians reduced to digging in the dirt for turnips to eat for dinner, shooting their last milk cow.  Breaking up furniture for fuel.  Children going without shoes, hiking 20 miles to school and 30 miles back.  It's terrible, and all beth can say is "lol."

I pay zero attention to M Moore, but I think there was a snippet of news I heard within the last few days...he pitched some kind of tantrum because his book wasn't doing that well?  Did anybody hear anything?

In about three weeks my family is going down to Georgia to visit Savannah and environs for a few days before heading up to Parris Island to watch my son graduate from Marine Recruit Training. We're looking forward to a wonderful week. My son's been writing about Family Day and Graduation since receiving and processing. Makes my eyes well up a bit every time I think about it (which is several times a day now).

This cop killer getting the needle only makes the prospect of spending some cash in Savannah all the more enjoyable.

:bird: Michael Moore: Stick your boycott up that big fat filthy ass of yours.

Please DUmbasses, boycott Georgia. Matter of fact, if you live here now, leave and make Michael Moore happy. Seriously. I mean, I'm being super, super serial here. Please leave the great state of Georgia.

Your boycott, however, will have as much of an impact as those f'n morons at the NAACP boycotting South Carolina....which turned out in their advantage.

Oh yeah, I downloaded a bunch of classics for free, but I read newer books that are out and biographies and those tend to be more, but I love Kindle, you can't beat the convenience of it, and when I'm bored I browse the books they have.
