Oh my.

Those pesky little inconsequential things the primitives worry about.

another computer question that is really hard for me to explain. i am going to try.

this has been happening for about a month. i will click on a thread or a post and when i leave that thread or a post it doesn't change colors showing that i was in that thread or post. i will go 3, 4, 5, 7 days of it not showing that i have gone into threads or posts. then all of a sudden it starts changing colors showing i was in that thread/post. yea. 2, 3 days later it stops showing i went into the thread/post. it has happened a number of times.

is there something i can do to fix this every time it does that.

cause it is really hard to read du without highlighted threads. and it is even more hard following threads if i cant see what i have already read.

1. I don't know what could be causing that

I'll alert Elad to this thread to see if he has any idea.

3. Hmm not sure, but it must be related to your browser

Check your preferences for how often your browser is set to load pages from cache vs. requests from the server. Some settings meant to speed up browsing will load a lot of pages from cache, which might cause this problem.

4. thanks elad.

did i tell you i was computer illiterate? i am not sure about what you said. i was going to have my husband tell me what you were talking about. but i had a poster tell me to delete my history. i could do that, lol. it worked.

i appreciate it. again, it is since the new explorer update. probably connected to that in some way. it does all kinds of different things. i will have hubby read what you say to see if there is a permanent fix.

I dislike admitting it, but it seems to me the primitive isn't the brightest bulb in the socket.

It's best just to end it all now and put your head in the oven.

 Maybe this DUmmy is so inconsequential that even the software doesn't know she exists.

That is so sad.

Oh well, nothing I can do about it except cheer for the oven.

It would probably be best if someone other than the DUmmie was put in charge of the knobs on the oven.  After reading that mess, I'm not sure they could handle such a big job without help.

I think the DUmmie is running several sock puppets and forget which puppet went into which thread.

I dunno, coach, for my money, the enigmatic Elad is a nitwit.
The DUmmy's problem is that she looks at a thread and then hits "back", instead of refreshing the DUmp. The DUmbass stays logged on for days at a time. I'll bet she doesn't see any new threads until that day when the colors magically change, which mysteriously, coincides with a refresh of the DUmp.

She's as smart as "Your friend from HS", who tweeted, "Help!!My.space.bar.quit.working..I.use.Win98.if.that.helps."
