  • Not right, but not left, either.
This one is a three thread post.  First comes the explanation of the backtrack, followed by roots growing into red city hell soil, then roots growing deeper still.  Although I am disappointed that the DUmmie didn't manage to see their trek come to fruition, at least they are somewhere that their vote will be diluted by a sea of red:

Finally back in Wi-Fi but due to a sad reason

We had to double back due to my Husband's Dad has passed away. We did not want to go back to Joplin, we decided to stay in Springfield Mo to get the paper work and funeral planed.

How ever we have seen some coll stuff in Kansas. Did you know that Kansas have wild Turkeys? They did not like the sound of the camera so I had to use Video so they would not hear the camera and run.

I am trying to find a way to up load the film since my laptop cam not read the mini DVDs.

Watch as the DUmmie begins to grow roots in evil red city hell:

I think I am falling in love with Springfield!

This city is awesome! And I haven't even seen a quarter of it yet!

This place is easy to travel from too! it has a Greyhound bus line as well as a national airport! I have taken a look out of curiosity at the apartment prices here and they are not bad at all! Why have I never looked at this city before? And it is so liberal for a city in SW MO!

The tumbleweeds blowing around in the parking lot at the county's local Democrat Party HQ last November makes your statement only that much more absurd.  :stoner:

17. Bass Pro Shops is one of the most fascinating stores I have ever seen.

Agreed.  I'm going there tonight to pick up some more ammo.

The roots get deeper still:

You will not believe what I found today!

A grocery store with a bar in it! I kid you not! It is called the Bistro by Price Cutter. It also has a large buffet in it ans some fantastic Gelato! It even had a Starbucks! And it had all the other stuff that you would expect in a grocery. It was great! The people are so friendly and helpful. It was the wildest thing I ever seen.

6. That's awesome...may have to move to Missouri!

Besides, I hear that Missouri loves company.

Boy, I've never heard that one before.  I'll be sure to have my "tornados" machine up and working by the time you think about coming out here.

This is just a tad scary. I have an uncle who went to Missouri sometime last week because his wife's dad was very ill and they didn't give him long to live. I don't know where in Missouri. I just know that it was Missouri.

If by some chance it is determined that my uncle is married to a woman who is sister to the husband of a DUmmie does that mean I get free shit from the government?

Lady Freedom Returns doesn't seemed to have gotten out much.

Wild turkeys in Kansas? :whistling: There's wild turkeys in all 48 contiguous states. And except for the 10 blocks around SWMO State, the average ratio of Rep to Dem is pretty high, as it is across MO outside of STL, KC and Columbia.

Still, I was looking forward to more On The Road posts from her, especially the ones like where they are eaten by wolves and maybe kidnapped by a roving band of refugees from a commune.

I wondered about that too.

Some days in October, this place is overrun by wild turkeys, wild turkeys jammed neck to neck.

It discombobulates the cats, but I can't do anything about it.

There are a few patches through town that you can expect to find "D" signs up during elections, but not many.  The area around MSU being one of them.  Otherwise, it's pretty doggone red around here.

I've also noticed it is getting easier to find someone in this area who will owe up to voting for Carter, than finding someone who will owe up to casting a vote for Obumbles.

When I drove through your neck of the woods, er, I mean grasslands last April, I was astounded by the number of Toms drumming on the Lek. They were kind of scrawny in NE Wyoming, though. But I have seen 'em from Maine to Florida, across the Norther Frontier and down to the Mexican border, to the Front Range of the Rockies and down the better part of the West Coast.

I never got out of the airport in Hawaii (on my way to Johnson Atoll) and it was dead winter when I went to Alaska (on my way to a DEWline station way up north and east) so I can't vouch for those two states.

So you can only vouch for 55 of the 57 states then.  :-)

Yeah, hardly good news, I was rooting for da Bears (Real ones).  But they couldn't have found a Redder city to park their useless hippie asses in than Springfield (Well, except maybe Branson).  It's a totally safe GOP district, I hope the wayward scum choose to crap on their ballots there instead of someplace they might wreck the country worse than they already have.

You might be on to something with the Oldsmobile Toronado.  Once, I had a 1966 Toronado.  It was 20 feet long, somewhere around 5000 pounds (just shy of Moochelle's GVWR), sported an enormous hood, and was all wrapped up in a very suggestive phallic shape- perfect for running over primitives, peasants, and other poor people.

My guess is that they came up to the Ozarks and thought that they were the Rockies and admitted defeat. Nobody can cross mountains on foot. Everybody knows that.
Come to think of it, unions do create jobs. Companies have to hire two workers to do the work of one.

Most democrat neighborhoods have a liquor store, a 7-11, and a check-cashing joint.
The nicer areas may have a muffler shop.

Generally also a pawn shop and tattoo parlor, at least in the upwardly-mobile ones, so they can fence what they steal and then get big body art to demonstrate their success in life.
