Did I say murder? Sorry, "execution."

We are still the only "civilized" country in the world that has the death penalty. It has been banned in almost all of Europe, and in Japan and Canada.

Anyhow, I guess a bad night for Governor Perry is a good night for human decency. Then again, he may not have heard about it since he was off to a fund raiser someplace.

When they eliminate the death penalty, there will be more criminals using  a life sentence as their retirement plan.

0bama murdered Osama.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

This DUmpmonkey had better be careful when he bitches about the death penalty.

The chosen people of the DUmp are the 7th century barbarians who run Iran and the oher muzzie hellholes.

True, the democrats only love muzzies because they hope for the annihilation of Israel, but dems embrace the whole sharia/koran bullshit as part of the bargain.

Implying the sand vermin are uncivilized could be a tombstoning offense.

Duane Edward Buck already had eaten a final meal of fried chicken, fried fish, french fries, salad, jalapeno peppers and apples when news came of the court's decision on Thursday evening"

There is a Boston area radio station that has a contest when murderers are executed to guess what they had for their final meal.   If you get an item on the menu you win sports tickets.   I heard it the other day for the first time and it was actually very funny.

I'm sure the State of Texas is keeping a record of this. The taxpayers are only on the hook for one last meal. Next time, when they finally do send the son of a bitch into Satan's embrace, he'll make the journey on an empty stomach.

Don't they know that all those fatty foods could kill him?

Gov. Perry, wasn't governor at the time of Bucks sentencing.
Not only that, a JURY sets the death penalty.
Try again, big nose liar.
Then-Chief Justice John Marshall observed, “Between a balanced republic and a democracy, the difference is like that between order and chaos.”

John Adams warned in a letter, “Remember democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet, that did not commit suicide.”

If it hasn't already been done, you should patent, copywrite and trademark that one.

Seriesly... :-)

You know with DNA in today's world, lots of prisoners that are innocent of a crime have been put to death.
Then there is the DNA that clears a person from committing the crime.

That said, this subject is tricky, we know eye wittiness is often totally inaccurate, regardless what is said race and reputation, family's influence does play a big part in the penalty one pays for a crime.

Someone gets caught  flat footed standing over dead people with a smoking gun and a grudge against the people that died is guilty, should they themselves live or die for the crime????

Worse nightmare of mine would to be on a jury that condemns an innocent person to death due to all the stuff the prosecution never lets us know.    So much the Jury's never get to hear one way or the other.

Even worse nightmare would be to let a killer back on the streets as the defence has kept information of past history of their client from being told to the jury.

One case last couple months involved a man that the police found 11-12 bodies in their back yard and house.    He received the death penalty, he actually earned it by his deeds.

Then the Casey Anthony case, all mangled and botched by both the prosecution and defence.   Me I would have gone for the death penalty, one cannot get away with killing their children as so many woman do.

ARGGGGGGGGG I am still upset about the stepmother that killed their husbands child that had big time health issues.    Why is she allowed to live after what she did to the innocent child?????

I'll bet he had a different opinion of Terri Schiavo's fate.

Show me one case.  Just one.

Oh Hell where have you been Sparky, every month or so the papers and TV show people walking out of jail because this group of people have formed a company of sorts to check into the prisoners that swear they are innocent.  The Innocent Project has caused quite a few people in jail for over 20 years to be release because of no DNA evidence  for them but evidence of another was not showed to the court,or any real evidence of a crime came up in their trial.

So far all the prisoners released have been Black men, not one Latino, Asian or White men among them.
No woman of any race age or culture, no kids under 18, they just concentrate on the Black males that have been rail road ed into prison for life or death row.

Surprising the things they find, also each one released has sued the state and walks away with mucho bucks for the distruction of their lives.

Our prisons are full of both the guilty and non guilty for horrific crimes against others.    Sure everyone in prison declares they are innocent, but, there is a large percentage that are in fact victims of circumstance.

All the Manson girls except one were imprisoned, himself was give the death penalty, so why after 40+ years is he still living the high life in prison, all the sex and drugs he wants, guards bring in Pizza for him and he is happy as a clam--------  The state suspended the death penalty, Oh Joy, three hot meals, all the media attention only problem he had was when parole came up was to act so crazy he could stay in a warm comfortable place.

A shame that California did not off these paracites on humanity, the girls that followed him were just as bad as he was.      Remember Squeaky From that tried to kill president Ford.

Some people with all that information about them need to be taken down like a rabid dog.

Others with just just circumstantial evidence need to be given all the help science can give them.
