3. I wonder....
I too have child issues that go over international borders. My ex abandoned us when I was still pregnant with LyricKid and moved to Australia. Because he still lives outside of U.S. jurisdiction, I have not been able to force him to take the DNA test necessary to establish paternity. We live in poverty, and I know he has money that he inherited (or at least he did, if he hasn't blown it all already.) Child support would be immensely helpful to my situation. I did a quick read-through of the Hague Convention's site, and it seems that they ARE authorized to deal with things like the establishment of paternity and international child support orders.

Do you know anything about the process of getting help via the Hague Convention? Is there a specific route that I must take, or should I just contact them directly, or what?

The Hague has better things to do...like prosecute Bush for war crimes.  :whatever:

Jonathan Swift had an interesting idea.

...and the DUmmies barter system we used to call "just being neighborly".

...and the usual "tax the rich". If we can't get the poor to get up off their ass, we'll just tax the rich onto their ass, then everyone will be equally poor.
“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

From what I've read at the DUmp, the way you get to The Hague is by frogmarching.

A sex-for-lodging deal, offered by a morbidly obese, mentally ill lesbian doesn't sound particularly sweet,
unless you dream of bunking with Chaz Bono.

Oh wow.  This has CF written ALL over it.  Australia is a pretty big place.  How are you going to find that man?

Come on. Australia's an island, right?

Just a few months ago she claimed they were starving:

I've seen her pictures. She's big enough that it wouldn't have hurt her, or her sister "Rhyme", much to have given up a couple of meals a day so the kids would have enough to eat.

Now she's off to look for child support after 11 years ?  Where did the tickets come from ?
Don't needs no ticket if you can squeeze yo'selves into a Conex and stowaway on a westbound container ship. I'm a little worried that she might eat the boy.

We stopped there for 4 days while returning from WESTPAC deployment in 2000.  It is a beautiful city, and the people there are some of the most friendly, welcoming folks I have ever met.

We get a bunch of US ships stop by here for RnR / TnA every year.

Much better crowd than the stinking, abusive, eurovermin backpackers that usually frequent the area. Pumps heaps of much needed money into the local economy as well.

It's an awesome part of the world to live in.

What!?! No I & I?

The Land of Oz is, indeed, an awesome place. I once had the privilege of spending a couple of weeks near Alice Springs. Magnificent vistas. Truly the best people on earth, they'll bend over backwards to make you feel welcomed and appreciated.

She must have had a "questioning" period at some point in her youth   :mental:  Her sister as well considering that she has three kids.  Amazing how their whole family is apparently screwed up. Neither she nor her sister can support their children, and their mother is forced in live to month to month housing.

They figured out that dropping a kid and then haranguing the semen donor for support would keep them going.  Notice the DUmmie made reference to an inheritance, which she likely knew of before getting pregnant.

WTF?  How can someone be this desperate to feed their children yet STILL HAVE THE INTERNET??!

To be fair, stealing internet service via Wi-fi is not exactly hard.

I sure at least a few of the dummies do.

I really had an incredible time while visiting Cairns, I dove the reef 2 days running, and I actually gambled and won a decent amount of money at the casino.  It was like a excellent mini vacation in the muddle of the deployment.  One of these days I'm going back there.

Uhh,.... you wanna give them more than 25 minutes to respond?  We are talking about primitives in Australia.  They might be sleeping or coming off a drunk or something and can't answer right away.

.

Because third world peasant labor is a good thing.

You know, I always check timing of primitive comments, and that's what I was thinking earlier today.
