Apparently, a game trumps politics among avid fans in Wisconsin.

According to FOXnews.com, WTMJ-TV in Milwaukee will bump President Barack Obama’s speech on unemployment to another channel to air NBC’s coverage of festivities before the NFL game between the Green Bay Packers and New Orleans Saints.

The pregame coverage will air at 6:30 p.m. local time, while the speech will be bumped to the station’s digital channel that is available on cable at 6 p.m.

The station says that NBC is offering feeds of both.

The pResident has been an asshole towards Fox for 2-1/2 years now.  What in the hell made him think that they'd just bend over and preempt a profitable, jobs producing broadcast, just to let him read a campaign speech off a teleprompter in front of a captive Congress? :rotf:

No kidding.  Are any of you going to listen to the blah blah blah?  I have stuff to do, so I can spare no time for Dear Leader.

I have to trim my nose and ear hairs about that time, and maybe my toe nails.  :-)

Because those mean, racist, SoB Rethuglikkkans in Congress wouldn't let him force them to listen to listen to his campaign speech opposite the GOP debates last night.[/DUmbshit]

Nope!  I have very low expectations for it, and other stuff to do.  I just hope he doesn't say anything that tanks the market tomorrow, which his speeches do all too often (Since this one is expected to be pretty inconsequential aside from the choice of forum, I'm hoping that doesn't happen this time).

I've been in the garden most of the day. I'm a fix'n to start some fresh vegetable soup...so, if his speech is 8 pm or later, I'll be watching the backside of my eyelids. Now that's some important watching... :-)

Listen to the speech? No, I'll catch the cliff-notes later of how he hopes to legislate more of my Constitutional rights away...
