I like Perry on the death penalty thing, I would have preferred for him to quote Ron White on it though:  "If you kill somebody in Texas, we'll kill you back."

I have liked Ron White's statement since I first heard him say it!!!!  :rotf:

Prob the 2 biggest applause lines came when Perry told Williams how if you murder in Texas ... you will be executed. If you kill in Texas, you will be killed. The audience loved it. Much to the apparent surprise of Williams who very rarely gets out of the liberal bubble that he's used to living in. And the other when Gingrich set the record straight with the moderators trying to get republican debaters to trash one another as I posted above.
Williams wanted to embarrass Perry with a question on the Texas death penalty. Perry should have asked Williams about abortion.........

Perry should have replied with something like:

Well Brian, you got me there buddy. YOUR party has all the police and child murderer votes because of our (or my) policy.

Congratulations.

From Rush's site ...

Romney was cautious, but good; Bachmann underrated.

I know Bachmann is qualified to be president, but I just have this strange instinctive feeling that she's being set up to be VP material.

I wouldnt be surprised. Too bad its not the other way around though ...

Good 'ol America and her citizens will once again have to take a back seat ... to 'politics' as usual.

Yeah, Newt was actually takin' it to 'em last night...wish the others had taken more of a cue from him and said they were there to talk about THEIR positions, not mock those of the other debaters.  Romney did sound the most rational and well-thought-out on the purely economic issues.  I like Perry on the death penalty thing, I would have preferred for him to quote Ron White on it though:  "If you kill somebody in Texas, we'll kill you back."

I think Romney has spent some considerable time working on his delivery -- I am seeing some really nice money quotes come out of his campaign.

Comparing Romney to Perry in job creation however is a ridiculous endeavor, Perry should stay away from that.   Perry has a nice Republican majority to work with, Romney was in liberal super-super-majority hell.

The only valid comparison of the two is that they both have gaping holes in the decision making department that they need to own and account for.
