They're going after Hoffa's remarks because they're terrified of people fighting back
Edited on Tue Sep-06-11 12:21 PM by villager
There are more of us than them.
The ruling elites' biggest fear is that we realize that, and act accordingly.
Hence their media wind-up dolls dutifully disparaging Hoffa's remarks -- part of a pattern, you'll note, having to do with any "remarks," like Alan Grayson's, etc., that might stir people up, get them to "see," bind them in collective action against their fiduciary masters, et al.
It's no accident. Because what if somebody else picks up on Hoffa's remarks, and what if that kind of anti-GOP rhetoric becomes commonplace, in spite of their ownership of the airwaves?
Could be a kind of trouble they hadn't anticipated. And they don't like that.
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=439x1885423Hey DUmmy you want to see some terrorized people? just mention, Rick Perry, Michelle Bachmann, Sarah Palin, or any other conservative at DU.
You idiots go on and on about how dangerous it is when conservatives use rhetoric, yet when your guys do the same thing you say they are inciting violence, you just can't stand the fact that your own talking points are being used against you.
The other thing is if a KKK member was talking about lynching people, most people would not think they are speaking metaphorically, same goes when a union thug talks about taking people out, people tend to think that there is some violence behind the words. Sarah Palin has never shot anyone, so when she says to "target" people, reasonable decent folks won't think she means go to their house and shoot them, when a union thug says take someone out, there is the thought that maybe he or his goons might show up and break someone's kneecaps. In other words when your organization is known for violence, when you use metaphors people might be concerned.

The Unions are different. They are not afraid to fight.
No, both of them are idiots plain and simple.

2. Yup, they are 'fried of the fight
I have the feeling we are very near the crossing of that point. Wisconsin showed them that people will fight back as well. The fight on SB5 is the same thing. THose are still peaceful. What really scares them is that people will conclude that there is little more than pikes... that truly scares them.
We are going to get there at the pace we are going.
Fried of the fight?

4. They are also afraid of the truth
So far the truth has worked well for us conservatives, it's you goons who revise history, and make stuff up.

10. Hoffa should get out there and now say the SOB's want to shut me up....
Edited on Tue Sep-06-11 01:36 PM by Historic NY
that ought to work. Don't let them shout you down.
We don't want him to shut up, the more he talks the more support you will lose. He will scare off decent folks.

14. Heard two different local RW hosts say
That Hoffa should be killed and buried with his father. I guess we won't hear much about those kind of statements.

20. They are bullies & the last thing a bully wants is someone who fights back.
What is it about this, that our president doesn't get?
Your president is a bully, and he cries when anyone fights back against his bullshit.

21. In THIS case...probably. But their constant "need" for apologies from Democrats is generally an
issue of control & public perception, particularly because the Republicans surely know they deserve anything the Democrats have thrown at them. The Democrats don't play their game of lies & perception; they've only had to speak the truth. So why apologize when the Republicans earned it?

Democrats and truth in the same sentence.

The democrats are the ones who told us that 0bamacare would reduce our insurance costs.
