A reverse-Bouncy? paging frank
« on: September 02, 2011, 10:35:28 PM »
I hadn't intended to post this, but after reading Ballygrl's shirt encounter I decided to type it up.

My wife had what I guess would be a reverse-Bouncy. Or maybe it would be an anti-Bouncy? Frank's the wordsmith so I'll let him decide what to call it.

She was at the checkout line in the grocery store Wednesday. The guy in front of her was a guy in his 60s or 70s. He was discussing with the cashier the number of people on welfare because they were too lazy to work and said that for the first time in his life he was ashamed of his country.

There was no yelling, cheering or conversion. No cops out of bushes. Just two adults calmly talking about people who would fit in wonderfully at DU.
“Don’t vote for the person who tells you you deserve something. Just don’t do it if it’s something other than life, liberty, or the pursuit of possible happiness. If everyone is telling you you deserve something, vote for the one who is promising you the least. Be suspicious of the man or woman who tell you deserve everything. Because you don’t.” ---Mike Rowe

"anti-bouncy"--no two ways about it.  That's the term.
apres moi, le deluge

Milo Yiannopoulos "It has been obvious since 2016 that Trump carries an anointing of some kind. My American friends, are you so blind to reason, and deaf to Heaven? Can he do all this, and cannot get a crown? This man is your King. Coronate him, and watch every devil shriek, and every demon howl."

I am sorry, but without an audience applauding and some impromptu cheerleading moves I just can't believe that two people could think this way in this Obama economy.  :-)

A small point, but you forgot to start the story out with "So..."
Let nothing trouble you,
Let nothing frighten you.
All things are passing;
God never changes.
Patience attains all that it strives for.
He who has God lacks nothing:
God alone suffices.
--St. Theresa of Avila
