I've been to the Gulf twice since the oil spill, and both times the water and the beach were very clean.

My guess would be the same thing that happens when crude oil bubbles up to the ocean floor, the heavily corrosive salt water environment of the Gulf of Mexico took care of the problem.

Not her standard operating procedure.  She would google water analysis and give everyone a lecture on how it is done, and then surmise her own results that fit her political template.
