Sure looks like it.  But I'm wondering if she isn't getting in too late.

Oh, and if she does get in, Bachman drops out within a month, as do Huntsman and Gingrich.  Paul will hang around because of his whackjob supporters just long enough to be a turd in the punchbowl.  Cain doesn't get much past South Carolina, if that far.

The only BAD thing I see about this is Palin splitting conservatives off from Perry (and Bachman while she's in the race) and this would actually help Romney.  Otherwise, her entry into the race, even if she doesn't secure the nomination, is to drag ALL of the candidates to the right, and when she does that, there's going to be a LOT more interest and enthusiasm in the eventual nominee, provided he/she maintains that conservative stance through to the general election.

Am I concerned she's too polarizing to win a general election?  There is that possibility, but considering the alternative is four more years of the Obamanation, hey...

She's too polarizing is a meme created by pundits, insiders, and the MSM. Reagan was supposed to be polarizing too. Seriously, 0bama is/was polarizing even before he won the presidency. So once again you can be "polarizing" on the left but not on the right. Right now the country is looking for the leader 0bama was supposed to be. Despite the media's constant harping that the precious Independents will flock to the Democrats if Republicans say anything that isn't milquetoasty good (like saying "the Tea Party wants to lynch black people" isn't polarizing), the squishy middle flocks to strong leaders. When you don't have a backbone you need to use someone else's. And people don't want to live with anxiety and hopelessness any more. The person who wins will be someone who has a positive outlook, believes in American Exceptionalism and has a concrete plan for restoring our country.

Unfortunately, political idealism often butts heads with everyday reality.

Hey, I KNOW she'd be a good fit.  I KNOW she's a good leader.  However, most people simply don't give a shit.  Most people do their 40 hour weeks, pop a few beers, fire up the grill, and don't give a shit about the world outside their own little world.  Oh sure, some might THINK they're informed by watching the MSM, but don't really bother to look beyond that.  If they're TOLD by the punditry and chattering classes Palin is divisive and polarizing, well, so be it.

But the reality of the situation is this: even liberals aren't about to let a woman take any REAL position of power in this country--witness how they savaged Hillary, for Chrissakes, and she's one of them.

I don't see her running. If she loses the nomination or does not get nominated, she loses her relevance. She wants to be relevant.
