Massive government spending is all I want to hear about

Call it by some catchy name.

Call it a "program"

Whatever.

Just so it puts people to work and puts them to work now.

Here's a few suggestions for the federal shopping list:

High Speed Rail systems in at least three populous regions of the country. Not just test systems, but actual systems that actually move a lot of actual people.

Alternative Energy on a massive scale. Wind, solar, geothermal, tidal, etc. No clean coal. No nukes. No hydro. Build many smaller projects in many areas so that power generation is close to the users - maybe even on rooftops.

Infrastructure repair in big cities, where they've been crumbling.

Vertical urban farms in high rise buildings.

Urban reclamation, wherein our abandoned housing stock is condemned then either repaired or replaced. Sell the finished product at affordable prices to viable, qualified buyers with public financing. (Think of Baltimore's "Dollar House" program of the 1970s. Say what you will, but it paid off.)(Think of the areas of Detroit that are crumbling.)

Condemn unused factory buildings and offer them on a fit-out-to-suit basis to manufacturers who would bring back overseas jobs. Start manufacturing shit within 12 months or pay a fine. Start manufacturing shit within 12 months and get a tax break (that has an end date, thanks).

Etc.

Notice my emphasis on urban spending. I think urban America has the greatest need and can see the greatest benefit. Sure, we can do the same sort of things in smaller towns and cities and I endorse thet. But we need to start in our cities where the bucks give us the biggest bang.

This is all I want to hear in Oabama's speech.

If I hear some at-the-edges minor shit, I will not be happy.

The word I want to hear from the media the day after is "Massive."

If these things created jobs and made money, then corporations would have done them a LONG time ago.

So, take a house that Person A already paid to have built that Person B defaulted on the loan. Tear down that house and build another one for even more money and give it to a consumer market that is in even worse shape then when Person A first sold to Person B.

I shall explain, it's like being a child, children think that their parents have a ton of money, so when they ask for that new toy, they can't comprehend that their folks can't afford it. "People" is not the issue, dimwit.  What you want to move is product from one place to another.

This is a fine example to demonstrate to the primitive's that Dear Leader was never really interested in creating jobs.  If this country wanted to do something where the gov't could help coordinate a program between private industries, it would have been upgrading our rail system to handle high speed rail.  See, I've got no problem with that.  You would have around 12 main hubs consisting mainly of big cities along the coastlines, where the high speed rail would transport the largest amount of product between those hubs.  And from each of those 12 main hubs, you would have maybe 8 to 10 smaller hubs they serviced.  From those smaller hubs, goods could be off-loaded onto trucks and taken to their final destination.  The gov't could have helped coordinate the retooling of former factories in order to build the new rails, engines, and transport cars.  We already have the rail system in place in the USA (the land is already purchased, easments are in place, etc...), it just needs to be modernized and we would be the transportation envy of the world.  Something like that is very much a Republican type of idea.  But did Dear Leader do this or even suggest it?  No, he didn't even suggest the liberal/Democrat version of high speed rail.  Wake up primitives; you're even bigger idiots than the average person can imagine.

You see, as Republicans we have no problem with gov't when it's used properly.  Something as massive an undertaking as coast-to-coast high speed rail needs some cooridinating body to work out the details, and then you turn it over to private industry and let fly.  Democrats are too stupid to understand this.

It was a huge success story, because ridership has increased, and they want more tax money to expand service.

Then the numbers: Annual operating budget:  $4.3 million
                           Annual ticket sales:          $700,000

And that's just the operating budget. The millions in capital investment came from taxpayers without a prayer of payback.

DUmmies love to talk about getting more big empty vehicles moving around town, with the only passenger being a union driver.

Outside the blue hellholes of the East Coast and Cook County, mass transit should be left to pay its own way, or disappear.
