The post-Katrina nightmare that JEB and Shrub kept hush hush
There was NO gasoline ANYWHERE along the entire Gulf Coast from Louisiana to Panama City FL - for nearly a month.

None

and I mean NONE

You could not even buy a gas CAN- anywhere

If Hurricane Rita had come ashore east of a NOLA - it would have been a disaster.

No one would have been able to evacuate.

Cars would have run out of gas on evacuation routes - trapping thousands on the highway.

JEB kept telling FL panhandle residents that a Fabled Gas Barge was on it's to Pensacola to 'save the day'.

There was no Fabled Gas Barge - it was a ****ing lie.

Has anyone here heard this?

Polly not

yup

5. good for you - but where I was there was none
Friends in Gulf Coast AL obtained generators from FEMA but could not run them.

There was no gas to be had - anywhere

...and to make matters worse, they used up the gas in their car in the futile attempt to find gas for their new generator.

I saw many pick ups with trailers - and Alabama and Louisiana plates - full of gas cans headed east and west on I-10.

Along the Gulf Coast - there was NO gas.

and supermarkets had empty shelves as well.

Pensacola was days away from shutting down its school system doe to lack of fuel for its buses.

So when I here folks up here in New England poo pooing the impact of Irene...

There was no gas where and when the DUmmie looked for it, because all the smart people had left and filled their tanks.  Then again, when the DUmmie got sober enough to think about it, the gas stations did not have the power to pump the gas without electricity.

I am sorry, but that is a crock of shit.  I was on the Gulf Coast less than a week after Katrina, and filled up my car in Gulfport.  And in Mobile.  It wasn't available where the gas station was creamed in the ground, but the ones that stood were up in less than a week, as soon as electricity was restored.

Don't forget the ice trucks that were secretly ferrying away the dead bodies on Jeb's orders. Remember what a big deal that was on DU during the time and was being "kept under wraps" by the "conservative" national media like NBC and CBS.  :lmao:

Don't forget the trees in Galveston, festooned with corpses that were never reported anywhere except at the DUmp.

Yep, complete and total.  Almost my entire extended family lives within 50 miles of Pensacola.  I would have heard about it.

I always wondered how the lonestaridiot ever saw that phenomenon.

I mean, doesn't she live in El Paso, and isn't El Paso rather, uh, far from where Katrina struck?

On my maps it is.

On my maps it is.

It was supposedly in Galveston Bay when Hurricane Rita hit when all those illusions happened. El Paso is about a cool 600 + miles from that area.

Don't forget all the people who were executed and dumped in the swamp.  Democrat congress critter Cynthia McMoonbat told us about it. :rotf:

I am not worried about gas at all. The Jeep has a full tank and there is 20 gallons to run the generator. All locked up so none of the Obama supporters that did not prepare will be tempted to steal it.
